“My partner and I really enjoyed our one night stay at Microtel by Wyndham Wellington. We arrived in Wellington around 8:00 AM and caught an Uber directly to our hotel (20 min drive from airport). Front of staff was extremely lovely and offered to look after our luggage before check-in at 2:00 PM. We booked the Internal Queen Room without Windows. It was perfect size for two people, and still spacious for us to place our belongings. Bed was comfortable - got a good night rest. Service is great, staff are extremely helpful. You can order some food from the menu. We ordered the Hawaiian pizza for nibbles, which costed around $15. The hotel is approximately 20 mins walking distance to Lambton Quay and Queen Wharf. It was simple to navigate around central. Overall, 10/10 experience. Highly suggest to book here.”
“Accomodation is in very handy location. I had to visit Wellington for training. This is only accommodation available and economical. Person Ujager who looked after is very friendly and communicative.”
“In Wellington, where hillsides climb, A peaceful night, a moment in time. Atura's embrace, a gentle stay, Washed the weary thoughts away. The king-sized bed, a starry cloud, Soft sheets of white, a tranquil shroud. Hot chocolate's warmth, a steaming cup, As morning's sun began to come up. A window's view, a quiet sight, The parliament's flag, a banner of light. St. Mary's College, standing tall, A sense of calm embracing all. The heather hummed a gentle tune, Beneath the moon, a whispered boon. A perfect pampering, soft and deep, A dreamless, undisturbed sleep. The hot shower's spray, a cleansing bliss, A tender, warm, and sweet kiss. Refreshed and ready, a brand new start, With grateful thanks in a loving heart. The sun appears, a golden smile, Across the clear sky, mile on mile. Another day, a magical gleam, A waking from a happy dream.”
“Excellent Location, room sizing, and hospitality. High recommend this motel for whānau (family) accommodation with a loved one in Wellington Regional Hospital or just passing through. Situated between Woolworths and the Hospital everything is within walking distance. Michelle and her Husband are easy going and amazing hosts whom made our stay here a breeze, especially with our loved ones critical condition. Thank you both so much for your wonderful hospitality this past week, we really appreciate it! Highly recommend Adelaide Motel Wellington”
“Spent 3 nights here in January 2024. Was a fantastic stay. The room was equipped with everything I needed - stove/oven, washer/dryer, large double bed, TV, wifi and view down to the Harbour. Service was great, as well as on site parking. Short walk to everything in downtown Wellington. Highly recommend for couples or singles, or traveling for work.”
“I always stay here! Affordable rates for such a great central location! The staff are friendly and the rooms are nice and clean. Comfy beds, nice bathrooms- everything you need. The Aborist restaurant is next door and serves nice kai.”
“We enjoyed our stay. Had a 1 bedroom apartment which was perfect for our needs. The gym and pool are a little walk away but were superb. The staff are kind and accommodating. We were given access to our room hours before the check in time and a staff member came to our room to show us where the heater was and set it up. I am very fussy and found the lounge a little tired but the facilities overall were of a good standard.”
“Hotel has a small entrance foyer with stairs and a ramp for entry. The entry from the ramp should have an automatic door opening as handling luggage while trying to open the door was difficult. The door opens to the street. Once inside the staff were great. There is no valet service at this hotel Room was very clean and tidy. The bed was a bit small probably a queen size but comfortable.. Bathroom was huge and sparkling. Entertainment ie TV was limited to TV channels only ie no streaming service available. No casting from your phone for streaming.”
“Great experience. Nice room. The bed is comfortable. Instructions for getting the room key was easy and convenient.”
“I recently stayed at Nomads Capital Backpackers – Wellington and I felt truly at home. From the moment I walked in, the warm welcome I received, especially from Isabel at reception, made all the difference. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and seemed genuinely invested in making my stay comfortable. The interior is beautiful and thoughtfully designed, with cozy communal areas that feel inviting, a lovely courtyard, and a fully equipped kitchen that feels like a shared living room rather than a hostel. Everything is clean, well maintained, and the vibe is relaxed yet vibrant. Best of all, it’s affordable without compromising on quality or friendliness. Whether you're arriving solo or with friends, looking to explore Wellington on a budget or just want a welcoming place to rest, this is it. I wholeheartedly recommend Nomads Capital to anyone in Wellington, or anywhere in New Zealand really, who’s searching for budget accommodation with a friendly heart, warm smiles, and a truly homey atmosphere. Thank you, especially Isabel, for making this such a memorable stay!”
“Nice tiny room I could live here easily. Shower was amazing! Received a lovely leather bound book from the Buddhist temple..I assume it's free? Hope so I'm taking it home. Room was tidy and clean. Loved it.”
“Rooms were great, good lighting and wonderful bathrooms. The elevators gave oddly charming vibes akin to crossing the threshold to the mists of silent hill.”
“Very cool place to stay. Great location. The staff are really helpful and friendly. If you're on a budget and need somewhere central in Wellington, look no further.”
“I was coming down for industry training and assessments, and the location of my classes was in an area that didn't have any accommodation close. I called the motel, and Jasbir was very accommodating to my needs as I was arriving after reception hours. Jasbir made the process so seamless. I was even offered a cheaper rate for a room that met all my needs. Room was clean, with a nice balcony, and bonus I had a kitchenette to cook my meals. I will be using AAA Mana Motel when my staff come down to Wellington for training. Thank you AAA Mana Motel.”
“I used to skip this restaurant because of its low rating, but it completely surprised me — I was wrong! This is my second time trying their dim sum, and I felt compelled to write a review. The portions are generous with plenty of fillings, and everything tastes fresh and absolutely delicious. The salted egg yolk custard bun is a must-try, and the polo char siew bun were tasty. ( Sorry, the photos of the buns weren’t attached.)”
“Did a Saturday night shopping stay over. Recommend paying the extra for a harbour view. Just stunning. Great room and facilties. Staff were helpful. Location - can't do better than this. We used public transport.”
“have stayed here twice now, and its now my go too. the staff are friendly, the rooms are a great size and have everything you need, Easy check in, nothing is a drama. Its walkable to everything, lower hutt shops, station village pub. close to motorway, even tho you dont hear it, theres no staff walking round, its quiet, My daughter who is 9 loves it. We have booked 1 bedroom apartment twice, it feels very homely. the only thing bad i could say is maybe a bit more attention to detail on cleanliness, but that is me OCD, its very tidy overall.”

“Clean, quiet and comfortable and a great location! "The apartment was well equipped and very clean. The bed and pillows very comfortable. The room was very quiet. The staff are friendly and helpful. This is the third time we have stayed at this property. It is in a great central location".”
“The cleanliness of the rooms could definitely be improved, but this place is overall insane value. The bed was comfortable and warm, the private bathroom was everything you need, and while the tv was pretty old it has sky sport and sky movies and everything. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful and the free breakfast was very good. Some people seem to be complaining about cleanliness or dated rooms but for the insanely low price it just doesn't make sense to hold it against them.”
“Great little place not bad prices. You get all the basic amenities like hot water, laundry which you pay for only a couple of bucks, a microwave, TV with basic cable, fridge, tea & coffee provided & small milk packets, and of course towels shower gel and shampoo provided. The rooms come with heater to stay warm during cold nights but you hardly feel the cold in the room. The room I was staying had a single bed jointed together and had warm quilt and window. Walking distance to all major attractions within city center.”
