Booked a weekend 2 months ago for end of September. Just got a notification that my reservation has been cancelled and no explanation given! It's the weekend of WOW and now everything available is double the price! Very disappointed. Update: Booking was cancelled by Air BnB because apparently they removed the listing from their website.
Accomodation is in very handy location. I had to visit Wellington for training. This is only accommodation available and economical. Person Ujager who looked after is very friendly and communicative.
DO NOT STAY HERE. Huup, the person who runs this is the worst Airbnb host and is downright mean. He refused to come change our dirty disgusting sheets when we complained and told us to wait until the next day. Since we couldn’t sleep in them and he refused to answer our messages through Airbnb after the that response, we contacted airbnb directly for help and sent pictures of our gross room. Besides the hair in the bed and dirt from other people, all the surfaces are not wiped, there are stained chairs, carpets, a moldy fridge and also the floor is not vacuumed. He got really nasty, kicked us out at 11:00pm at night in a foreign country as women traveling in a sold out city, and instead of fixing the problem cancelled our reservation. The bathrooms and common areas were also disgusting. DO NOT STAY HERE. I had to go to another hotel at 11:00pm to be able to sleep somewhere.
Lack of communication from the staff stops it from being a safe place to stay, neighbors can be a handful if they don’t want to follow any house rules long term don’t recommend!
The kitchen was dangerous actually, toasters short circuiting, elements only run on high, stove air vents broken. It was comfortable enough for the 10+ of us, I got a nasty email when I had to tell them of a hole accidently put in the wall. Trying to just talk with someone was not easy, its just emails and miscommunication.
A little dirty kitchen and bathroom, probably because guest don't clean up after them self. Ended up rather going out eating than make food there. Rooms are great value but super loud. Location is very central.
