“The cleanest, most comfortable motel we have ever stayed at. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the cleaners certainly take pride in their work. Thank you for a very pleasant stay.”
“Upmarket apartments in a purpose built bespoke development on the site of the historic Overseas Terminal on the Wellington waterfront looking out towards the Hutt valley in one direction and Te Papa museum and marina in the other direction. On the ground level a number of retail shops exist including white bait, an upmarket sea food restaurant and mojo cafe, a popular weekend spot for a glass of wine and some fries.”
“I stay in Wellington a lot and I think this the best hotel I've stayed in. Everything was just perfect; the drop off and pick up area, the access to the main street, the room, the bed, the amount of milk and coffee, the shower pressure. Even the breakfast options at Sierra cafe were perfect. Will stay here from now on.”
“Great place to stay for a few days. To have a kitchen and laundry machines was very useful. Good walkable location to a variety of restaurants. Staff were very helpful, even lent me an umbrella for the wet weather. I had only one issue, and that was the door to my room would move when the next room open and close their door. So it sounded like someone was trying to open my room door. Was a bit unsettling. Overall it was a very good place.”
“Great location, with car parking included. Very accommodating staff let us park after check out in the car park until we had to leave to catch ferry at 11 am. This allowed us to explore on foot. The room was warm, comfortable and quiet with nice views.”
“For an older motel, the hospitality and service, and the location to the hospital far outweighed the upgrades the motel does not have. When my husband had a heart attack and was helicoptered to Wellington, the beautiful lady that runs the motel was extremely accommodating, including letting me leave my car there after I checked out so I didn't have to pay for hospital parking while I was waiting for him to be discharged. The water pressure in the shower was amazing. There was more coffee, hot chocolate, and sugar sachets than any other motel I have ever stayed in, and for main road, it was pretty quiet in my room. The location to Wellington Regional Hospital couldn't be better. Literally straight across the road. And there are lots of amenities in walking distance including a supermarket. Would I stay here again? Without a doubt. Would I recommend you stay? Absolutely, as long as you can overlook the need of upgrades and just appreciate what a hard working dedicated motellier provides in terms of hospitality and warmth.”
“I have just stayed here over the weekend for a conference. Had a 3rd floor room, so quiet I forgot I was at the airport! The staff were amazing, nothing was a problem. When I asked for the room temperature to be lowered it was. When I rang for more toilet paper it turned up in 5 minutes. The à la carte breakfast is good value for money. Would love to go back one day even though I live locally!”
“Perfectly impersonal and brilliantly minimalist. Big, bright windows, and furnishings with simple, clean lines made the room an ideal sanctuary. Kettle, microwave, fridge, TV, and tea/coffee supplies covered all the bases. A cool little guest closet down the hall held dishware, cutlery, irons and boards, as well as few extra linens. This keeps down the cost of supplying every room with items not everyone uses. The lobby entry and kiosk check-in procedures are simple and well-communicated. As a business model, this hotel is about as sleek an efficient of a passive income generator as you can get in the hospitality space. I want to emphasize that even though the room is simply furnished and designed to be easily cleaned, maintained, and turned over for the next guest, it is not a blank cell, but more like a lovely lKEA showspace. As a bonus, the excellent Oikos Hellenic Cuisine restaurant is just across the road.”
“We stayed for 2 nights in the suites. It was a super nice and modern city appartement. The location is really just perfect, close to everything. Housekeeping is offered for stays more than 7 nights, but that‘s completely okay. The suite is equiped with a washing machine and a dryer and even washing liquid. Loved it!”
“We love this amazing tranquil place in our hometown Upper Hutt. Blessed to have husband and wife time together from Mon 24 Dec to Thur 27 Dec 2018. Elaine and Alan are gr8 hosts, with a continental breakfast every morning. Thank you for our blessed pamper time @ Tranquility Homestay! Definately a home away from home. Blessings Abundantly. Vicki and Riini X”
“Only stayed one night here but would have loved to stay longer! Immaculate spaces, right on the ocean so you can hear the waves. Super great staff as well!”
“Pampered pooch had an excellent stay here - a few weekends before a long Xmas/new year stay. Every time he’s been happy to go & comes back home after a great time”
“Our small dog loves spending time here. The staff are professional and caring towards the dogs. Absolutely love it.”
“Really good stay here, showed up on the wrong day but mark was extremely freindly and helpful and still got me a clean room, Netflix and other stuff included”
“Great place to stay, amazing services and nice rooms.”
“Highly recommend this place. We were needing accomodation close to the hospital and this was perfect. Spacious room, comfortable bed and close to takeaways. Everything was clean and staff were friendly.”
“I had an amazing experience with this hotel. The staff went above and beyond to help me even after I had checked out, they kindly assisted me with sending my forgotten belongings to Auckland. Their kindness, patience, and professionalism truly touched me. The location is convenient, the rooms are clean and cozy, and the service is exceptional. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Wellington. Thank you so much again and you deserve all the best!”
“I have stayed here over one month. Great place to stay no matter you choose bunk bed or twin room. Stuff is always helpful and kind to guests. Kitchen and bathroom are always clean and tidy. People who choose to live here are also polite and nice. Most of guests respect the quiet time. Definitely will come back if I need. If there are more female room would be better for me.”
“As well as having quiet, well featured & very pleasant rooms Quest Petone is centrally located just off Petone's main st giving easy access to all the local eateries in the evening. Plus it's only a few minutes drive to Lower Hutt & a few more minutes to East Coast Bays.”
“Great views from the twin buildings. In close proximity to the Kelburn campus. Although the price is dear comes with all meals Closed during holidays from November to February etc.”
“Nice place. Centrally located and has a secure entrance”
“What a great and special night to celebrate our sons’ 21st birthday! The preparation was smooth, with regular monthly check-ins for venue layout, menu and alcohol. The Lodge catered towards our needs and allowed for layout to accommodate for head table, guests, band, cultural drummers and dancers, and also allocated space for dancing the night away. The menu was a beautiful array of cuisine of meats and salads with added food brought for family tastes. The buffet flowed effortlessly with smooth transition from mains to deserts. Excellent on the night co-ordination with Georgia and Peter, meant our family could celebrate and party with no hassles or concerns. The Lodge provided excellent services and would highly recommend them to anyone wanting to celebrate in style and elegance! Well done to the Lodge, you made our night a special one to remember!”
“Excellent Stay – Twice! We stayed at Camellia Court Motel in Taupō during our trip to Auckland and were so pleased with the experience that we booked it again for our return journey. The standout feature of this place is Vishal, the manager, who was incredibly helpful and welcoming. He’s the go-to person if you have any questions or concerns — his hospitality truly made our stay comfortable. The motel itself is neat, clean, cozy, and very quiet — perfect for a good night’s rest. It’s also very affordable, which makes it a great option for budget-conscious travelers. We highly recommend this place and will definitely consider staying here again in the future. Thanks again to Vishal for the warm and professional service!”
“Overall very nice, as advertised. Cleaning is performed regularly and thoroughly. Quite close to the motorway and windows are single glazed so the noise is quite noticeable. Rooms are nicely furnished, Rooms are a little dated. Enjoyed my stay overall!”
“Perfecto. Staff were awesome. Some noise inside by inconsiderate guests arriving late at night but no noise from outside at all. Location perfect, we flew at 6am. Have stayed probably 4 or 5 x now and have already rebooked for my next trip.”
“Despite our last minute booking at 9pm, it was nice to get the instructions for parking and simple directions to use the shower facilities. We got off the ferry with our motor home at 1am in the morning. And the parking was easy. Lots of spaces for motorhomes in the powered site. Nice clean shower. Everything was neat and well managed. Love it. The lady at the reception I met in the morning was friendly, helpful and nice. Thank you for all the help”
“Everything from check in to check out was on point. Great friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. Helped us with our parking solution promptly and without any hassles. Great food and drinks from the bar, and the staff there were amazing as well. The cleaners kept the room immaculate during our stay. Would definitely stay there again without hesitation.”
