    We had five days staying in the Novotel Wellington. This is our first time stay there, location is perfect in the centre of CBD. They have a lift go down straight on Lambton Quay. But it close at 7pm Hotel decor is a bit dated, room is very clean though. We are very happy about the quality of the hotel buffet too. Unfortunately the staff in the restaurant not trained enough. This is what happen every morning at the breakfast Staff: Which room are you Us: 713,715 Staff: you pay (pointing to the machine) Us: no it's included Staff: what room number Us: 713,715 Staff: ok I will check We just ignored her and walk to our table This happened two mornings with the same staff, don't they have a computer to check before ask us to pay? And the third morning, we had this interesting conversation with another staff, this time just me and my husband at the restaurant Staff: which room are you? Us: 713,715, we have two rooms and breakfast included Staff: she looked at the computer and said: one adult one child? In my mind: (Do we look like one adult one child standing in front of you?) Us: we have TWO rooms Staff: okay I will check Doesn't affect our stay but it is something the hotel needed to be improved And key access in the hotel lift doesn't work You can just rock into the lift and press any floor even at night time. Security alert!!!!

    The location is absolutely unbeatable. However, the room facilities are noticeably dated. Novotel Wellington was also the only Novotel I stayed at during this trip that did not provide a handwritten welcome card, which was a small but noticeable difference, especially as a loyalty member. Parking requires guests to use a nearby parking building. Although the front desk provided parking instructions at check-in, I did not follow them correctly. When I asked for assistance at check-out the next morning, the response I received was simply β€œI don’t know,” with no willingness to help or explain further. As a loyalty member, this level of service was disappointing. I acknowledge that the initial mistake was mine; however, this was the poorest service experience I encountered during this trip. Later, when making the payment, I discovered that both pre-payment and post-payment options were actually acceptable. I shared this feedback with the front desk, hoping future guestsβ€”especially loyalty members will receive clearer guidance and more supportive service.

    Great location, very clean room and convenient lifts down to street level so you don’t need to walk up and down the stairs or up the hill. Staff were absolutely amazing and very understanding when we had flight issues due to the high winds. We really appreciate the extra length they went to ensure we had a smooth check in and comfortable stay. Thank you so much! I would definitely recommend this hotel.

    Everything from check in to check out was on point. Great friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. Helped us with our parking solution promptly and without any hassles. Great food and drinks from the bar, and the staff there were amazing as well. The cleaners kept the room immaculate during our stay. Would definitely stay there again without hesitation.

    Most of the staff were very friendly, helpful, and efficient β€” except for the staff member who handled my check-in at around 5 p.m. on October 27. Her expression showed no smile and no sense of welcome, which felt rather uninviting. The hotel restaurant offered reasonably priced food with attentive service. The restaurant staffs were cheerful and enthusiastic, and the lighting and music level were just right, creating a very pleasant atmosphere.

    Simple but comfortable and practice for worker traveling. Food was good and staff were very helpful. Would definitely stay there for a short work trip. Well done team.

    Very clean rooms, although the common areas are a little dated. Prompt and helpful staff. The bed was extremely comfortable and I had the best sleep in quite a while. Really appreciated the delicious chocolate chip cookie waiting for me after a long day of travelling and arriving past midnight. Wifi was fast and had no problems using it for work. Great location on the Terrace, however a slight uphill walk is required if coming back from the city. Plenty of free streetside parking available overnight until 8am every morning.

    We had a lovely stay at Novotel Wellington. At check in desk staff was friendly. Our room was on higher floors which had a great view. Room Was tidy, neat & clean equipped with all amenities. Bed was comfortable and we had a solid sleep at night. Housekeeping services were quick which was a cherry on a cake. Buffet breakfast spread was impressive and had a very good vegetarian options available. As hotel is located in the down town it was so easy for us to roam around the town by walking. Paid parking was available in the very next complex.

    I love the breakfast menu. My overall experience especially with 2 kids was superb. We have booked the double room. We enjoyed the stay n the view. So convenient to walk to most of the attractions n shops. I would highly recommend Novotel.

    Very clean & super comfortable. Not enough complementary coffee, robe & slippers for adults booked on arrival but quickly remedied. Lovely food at restaurant for dinner. Friendly helpful staff. Very tricky working out how to get in. Was expecting a pull in area to unload car & check in but found a bus stop outside & didn't want a ticket. After working our way back again squeezed into the car park area we were obviously not supposed to be in but at least off the road. Walk up to reception & got sorted for parking.
