   Absolutely stunning views, what an amazing place to hold a wedding with loved ones. It’s a unique, secluded location, completely private and so much parking! The staff were always lovely, especially the manager Georgia who went over and above to assist with food allergies that weren’t informed by the guests until the food was being served unfortunately. Would 10/10 recommend.

   We had our wedding reception at The Lodge a few weeks ago and it was a great location. We had just over 100 people and the room was cozy with still enough space to move around. The food was delicious and they allowed us to bring traditional food. They took the responsibility to bring tables up to the buffet which gave our MC a chance to have a break too. The hospitality from this family owned business was lovely with them even going around to the tables and checking up on the guests. The Lodge was a beautiful location to have photos taken and we are very happy to have had our wedding reception at The Lodge.

   Had my nieces wedding there a few years ago. The “family” that runs it were rude to the guests, they kept taking peoples drinks away when they were half way through them (their way to make more money), they were unhelpful and also quoted my niece prices and then charged far more on the final bill. They played my nieces walk down the aisle music on an old cheap tinny sounding speaker. My mum, who was dying of cancer and passed away a month after the wedding, had a rogue staple from one of the chairs rip the skin on her leg, they didn’t seem to care about it. I made the cake for the bridal couple, and when we were leaving I knocked on the kitchen door and popped my head in to ask if I could collect my equipment, the dad came rushing at me screaming at me to “get the hell out!!!” and basically chased me like an animal. Was a terrible experience, and, as I know someone who had a recent awful experience there, I am finally speaking my piece. I had advised my niece against choosing that venue, having been a long time resident on the Paekak Hill, but it was her wedding, her choice. Please note - we did some research and a lot of the 5 star reviews are from their friends and family.

   What a great and special night to celebrate our sons’ 21st birthday! The preparation was smooth, with regular monthly check-ins for venue layout, menu and alcohol. The Lodge catered towards our needs and allowed for layout to accommodate for head table, guests, band, cultural drummers and dancers, and also allocated space for dancing the night away. The menu was a beautiful array of cuisine of meats and salads with added food brought for family tastes. The buffet flowed effortlessly with smooth transition from mains to deserts. Excellent on the night co-ordination with Georgia and Peter, meant our family could celebrate and party with no hassles or concerns. The Lodge provided excellent services and would highly recommend them to anyone wanting to celebrate in style and elegance! Well done to the Lodge, you made our night a special one to remember!

   We had our wedding at the lodge in May 2023. We had lots of communication with Peter in planning our wedding; Emails and meetings at the Lodge and no question was a dumb question. He was very open to working with our requirements Georgia’s expertise and experience was great, making sure that all bases were covered (including some things we hadn’t considered) and then carrying out the plan on the day. We had to go to our back-up wet weather plan and Georgia gave us as much time as possible for us to make our decision before expertly making the arrangements. The lodge space is lovely and cozy on the inside, and beautiful and lush on the outside. We are so pleased with our experience. Lots of thanks to the Lodge team.

   It was a complete shocker. Bar would not take cash unless you had the correct money. The food was very Mediocre. The driveway is not lit and difficult to negotiate in the dark and the car park is not lit either. They could have done a lot better for the money we paid. Very unhappy

   The Lodge is a beautiful venue ran by a lovely family. Peter, Georgia and Jared plus the wonderful staff made our wedding day seamless and they were super attentive to our bridal party and guests. We cannot express our gratitude to this place, worth every single cent.

   My cousin had her wedding here not long ago and it was so beautiful. Great atmosphere & free backdrop was perfect for impromptu photoshoots. Would highly recommend for any event. 10/10 experience. The staff were amazing & super friendly.
