   Have stayed here a couple of times and the facilities are nice enough. Most recent experience left a bad taste in my mouth. Called while driving to see if we could book a spot that night, the woman on the phone was pretty rude. She told us that we “MUST arrive by 7 because they close then.” Never seen a campsite that didn’t have an option for guests arriving after hours, and especially in the summer, 7 pm is a very early check-in cutoff time. When I said we wouldn’t be able to be there then, she hung up on me. Seemed annoyed that I existed. Wont be coming back.

   The owner was extremely rude. My parents were already having an awful day, with my grandfather very unwell and in hospital. They had advised reception that they would be running about 15 minutes late, and it was arranged that reception would email them the access code and information, as the office closed at 7pm. Despite this, the owner then lectured them for arriving at 7:10pm, going on about how it was her weekend too. She later lied in the Google review response, stating she had tried to contact them twice. Yes reception did contact them and they then rung back before closing hours of 7pm (please see in photos), there was contact and an arrangement set up to email the gate code which was not done. If it was done then they wouldn't have had to bother the owner. I’d also like to point out that it’s irrelevant whether they were coming from Ōtaki or not — you have no idea where someone is travelling from, even if they live locally. A little kindness and understanding goes a long way, and it’s worth remembering that you never know what others are going through. It would also be a good idea to update your office hours, as they state you close at 7:30pm on google not 7pm as you can see in the photo attached aswell.

   Owner/manager very rude. She made it clear we were an inconvenience checking us in. Office closed at 7pm we advised her receptionist earlier that we would be 15 minutes late she was suppose to email us the gate code and site info but, she never did. The manager lectured us on arriving late (7.10pm) and that it was her weekend too. Happy to take our money but, not provide the service.

   Stayed 6 nights on a powered site. Location is very nice. Close to beach and large park area. Facilities clean and adequate but aging. Shower timer 4 mins is not enough for some to wash hair. They weed sprayed the grass for flat weeds around caravan and other sites. No warning or notification. ( kids running around bare foot on sprayed grass) We extended our stay and got a confirmation. Tried to exit that night to find our code did not work. Called the only number given and the message said only contactable business hours. No after hours contact. You are locked in. This is not good if you were in an emergency . Lastly the office staff were efficient but could be more friendly and welcoming.

   The park layout is a beautiful place to stay. The camp manager is a very difficult person to talk to, when we asked to move our days of staying forward because of a camper repair.she repeatedly told us she could not transfer our booking. However Jenny the woman in the office was very pleasant when we arrived. Next the laundry. There was a very disgustingly dirty mop leaning against the ironing board and the ironing board was so rusty is should be replaced as nobody will iron clean clothes on a very old rusty board. The toilet and shower block were clean and pleasant to use.

   This place is sub par! Bathrooms are old and dingy, don’t look clean it kept up one bit. Bugs, cobwebs everywhere! They only give you 4 minutes of hot water to shower! Seriously??!! What mother can shower herself and her baby in 4 minutes? What older person can shower in 4 minutes? Absolutely ridiculous. They also charge you for internet!! You have to pay to stay AND pay for internet. Every other place we’ve stayed orders this for free! Didn’t like this place one bit!

   Booked a cabin online and didn't arrive until after gate closed due to late ferry sailing. Owners very obliging and left txt confirmation with entry code. Room was very tidy and clean. Hot shower was bliss! lots of water and hot. Thank you.

   Great location. Be sure to read the reviews and website so you know what you’re getting. Only a five or 10 minute walk to very nice long stretch of beach. Right on the edge of a very nice park. I think the four minutes for the hot water in shower is pretty inadequate for most of us. Six or eight minutes would be more reasonable and still allow them to limit the waste of hot water. Good cell phone service for us. Price is good at $20 per person and includes power.

   Absolutely beautiful and peaceful spot to stay. The tourist cabin was spacious, clean, and had everything we need including toilet, shower and equipped cooking facilities. Great location not far from Paraparaumu and supermarkets, and a short trip to Wellington Central. Also short walk to the beach. We will definitely be back.

   I like the place. The staff member was friendly enough when I checked in, explained where things were well. The facilities (toilets, showers, kitchen) are adequate for a campground. The location is nice. There is a stream that runs behind the campsite which is great for cooling your feet off if you get too hot. Loads of trees around the perimeter of the grounds. Plus there are loads of walking and cycling trails just outside the entrance, plus the beach is only a short walk away. I'll definitely be coming to stay here again.
