Not recommended. This is essentially the parking area of a motel, not a pleasant campground to stay in. All the facilities (toilets, showers, kitchen) are located in the same small cabin. The facilities are old and poorly maintained, with very few toilet and shower stalls, and only one small fridge. The showers are quite run-down, the water pressure is weak, and if someone else is showering, the water becomes even weaker and turns cold. The dining room feels musty, and the whole cabin is stuffy. It also wasnβt very clean β we stayed for two nights, and it took more than 24 hours for someone to replace the toilet paper in the bathrooms. Additionally, the place is very close to a main road, so thereβs constant traffic noise (and even noise from airplanes). The nightly rate is the same as a proper holiday park, but it definitely doesnβt offer similar value.

We arrived late Saturday afternoon in pouring weather from ferryβ¦β¦service was easy, polite and helpful. We booked a room with beds for 2 adults and 2 children, and were happy with what we got. Were even allowed the choice of two rooms. Whilst the motel is dated, it is impeccably clean, with a beautiful green outlook, a modernized bathroom and decent facilities. We enjoyed an evening drink at the bar and some yummy snacks. All service came with humour and a laid back approach. Super close to ferry and LOTS of parking space. We found it peaceful, even close to motorway.

If youβre looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay with lots of parking, close to the ferries then look no further. We have stayed here twice, first time for just one night, second time for three nights which turned into five. They were very accommodating as we had a ute and boat, plus a car. Which were parked at no additional cost. There was heaps of room out the back for the Ute and boat parked with the trucks and caravans. Be sure to let them know in advance if you require additional parking as it gets pretty full at times. The car was able to be parked right in front of our room. The rooms are a little dated but very clean and comfortable. It is a little noisy being right next to the motorway but not a big issue at all. They were also very accommodating letting us come back a couple of hours after checking out from our three night stay, and let us go back into the same room, because our car broke down at the ferry terminal and we needed to stay an additional two nights to get the car fixed and the ferry rescheduled. We didnβt try the restaurant as had seen from other reviews it was a bit hit and miss but there are plenty of food places a few minutes down the road in Johnsonville. Will definitely be back in the future. Thanks again for being so accomodating.

Despite our last minute booking at 9pm, it was nice to get the instructions for parking and simple directions to use the shower facilities. We got off the ferry with our motor home at 1am in the morning. And the parking was easy. Lots of spaces for motorhomes in the powered site. Nice clean shower. Everything was neat and well managed. Love it. The lady at the reception I met in the morning was friendly, helpful and nice. Thank you for all the help

A purely functional place if you are catching the ferry the next day. It's close to the port, and there is a restaurant onsite but we didn't go. It's prettyuch a carpark if you have an RV, with minimal facilities. The kitchen was not clean (left that way by a previous user), and the showers we didn't bother with. It is a place to stay and have power for the night.

A great caravan park on the outskirts of Wellington. Ideally located, the park is a great stepping stone to the city. Staff friendly and amenities are spotless.

Ah the glory days, it was always such a beautiful location, let us never forget the splendor and golden memories from back when it was simply the Wellington Manor inn and hosted the historic wedding of Jess's parents.... we laughed, we cried... all in the 5 star comfort of a motor inn. May it never fall.

Great location for a stopover night on the way home. Access to the main highway was easy on a Sunday morning. The restaurant is fantastic. Lounge chairs and small intimate tables with a bar on one side and fire and TV on the other. The meal was excellent and service was efficient. We had an upstairs unit with a view of the highway. The separate bedroom had a spa bath on a raised platform, a 2nd TV and plenty of storage. The lighting was good. The bathroom was clean with a separate toilet. A large drawer and shelf in the vanity were appreciated. The kitchen area was not well stocked with utensils but with the restaurant and well cooked breakfast via room service don't bother cooking. There was a microwave.

The room was warm & spacious, with restaurant & bar on site. Staff were relaxed & friendly creating a homely atmosphere. Restaurant served large portions & a good selection for breakfast & evening meals. I accidentally left something behind in my room & staff organised to courier it to me and were very helpful in the process! Thank you
