We enjoyed our stay with Mike and Maree who made us feel at ease straight away! The room, bathroom and terrace were very good. And the location within walking distance of the centre of Napier is very suitable for exploring the city.
A perfect 3 night stay in Napier at the beautiful home of Maree and Mike. In Englush terms, to call it a B & B undervalues it. It is more a superb self contained apartment in a private home.The open plan accommodation, with its tastefully eclectic decor is spacious, with a good sized bathroom and a verandah that has a wonderful view across the bay. We were very warmly welcomed and Mike and Maree could not have been better hosts. A bottle of wine greeted us and by choice, we only touched the surface of the delicious breakfast options. We saw more of Mike as he works from home and had a number of very interesting and informative conversations with him. The city is a mere 5/10 minutes walk away, and the only downside for some, while a bonus for others, might be that it is a steep climb down and up into Napier - a walk that was no problem in the day, but we chose not to do on the 2 damp evenings out of 3 of our stay, when we chose not to drive. Thoroughly recommended.
This was our favourite place in a four week tour through New Zealand. Our room was fantastic. Mike and Maree our hosts could not have been more helpful. Everything about our stay was great.

Great accommodation in a central location for Napier. The town centre is easily walkable. The guest suite is really comfortable with great amenities, including a complimentary bottle of local wine. Marie and Mike are super welcoming and friendly hosts, always happy to chat and give suggestions for your day/evening. Dougal the dog was a firm favourite of mine too! We would recommend MnM's to everyone.
Lovely place, we had everything we needed, within walking distance, close to town and waterfront. Mike and Marie were perfect hosts and very accommodating, dropped us off and picked up from Elton John concert. would definitely stay again and would highly recommend . thanks for everything. Very accommodating owners! The room is spacious compared to hotels at the same price range. The view is great -- there's a viewing deck facing the sea and has a magnificent view of sunrise. They also have a friendly dog, though you will seldom see him at all. Only negative is perhaps the walk up towards the house, but is not a problem if you are driving.
We stayed with Marie and Mike last night and sad to have only the 1 night. We received the warmest of welcomes and our room was superbly styled with a balcony and stunning views out to sea. Walked down the hill for some dinner and the wee climb uphill home did us both good! Yummy continental breakfast including fruit, cereal, waffles and good coffee. Would definately recommend and hope to return ourselves sometime.
