   Quite spot but still close to town with a great view of the Kaimais. The hosts were nice and friendly. Highly recommend this place if you're planning a trip to Matamata or just need to stop for the night. Will definitely stay again next time.

   We stayed here because it was a short drive to Hobbiton. Wished we could stay in the B&B longer. You could tell they had really thought of all the little things, our most comfortable stay in NZ! Thanks for making the room so cosy.

   This is a very small place that is only about 10 minutes drive from Hobbiton. It's very low cost and the facilities are in line with those costs. The place is more or less, a single room dominated by a bed. It says double on the website but it's a queen which is much better. The bed was comfortable and we got a good night's sleep. There are a couple of chairs in the room but they are too uncomfortable for a long sit. There's a small TV with good reception. The air conditioner (heat pump) had a broken remote control but it still worked well enough to keep up warm. We stayed in winter. Toilet and shower were fine and worked as expected. Soap, shampoo etc was provided. Breakfast is provided but don't expect bacon and eggs. It's all self serve and consists of cereals, toast and fruit cup. Orange juice was also provided and the coffee included a dolce gusto machine so it was better than the instant stuff. There are bbq facilities available and despite it all looking very "country", there are restaurants and food places about 10 minutes away. The proprietor was friendly and seemed to genuinely care about her guests. As budget accommodation, this is very good and highly recommended.

   Everything about this place is what we think "First-Class". The friendliness of the owners, the 110% cleanliness, the many little extras that have been built in to this amazing space is incredible. Plenty of sensor lighting to help with our late night arrival. The mats in the bathroom!!! - never seen this sort of thing previously but after a full night of dancing, to put our feet on these mats relieved the tired and sore spots - they are INCREDIBLE. Such a comfortable bed - we are very happy to have found Denchy's - thank you Linda & Selena - beautiful place to stay - real luxury for us - tho it's small, it's very adequate for our needs along with such a caring environment.
