“Our food was very tasty and well portioned. They gave us some extras which were also delicious and the waiter was a very accommodating young lad. Music set the scene like a mediterranean elevator and was perfect to eat too. Hope all goes well with the new management. Will be back in the near future.”
“My first time at this vets, and was very impressed with the service I got from all of the staff. Very caring. Also gave excellent advice in a non-judgemental way. My boy's foot pad was split open after a mountain adventure, it's the 3rd time he has had this type of injury, but the first time we have been told it isnt a food allergy! I am happy I made the decision to change to VetEnt, and Emma the vet couldn't have been lovelier. Highly recommend.”
“Food was good, staff was friendly, very cute decorations and good Christmas atmosphere”
“Perfect location. Perfect accommodation. We loved everything. With town a few steps away and the beach around the corner. Our little piece of paradise. Thank tou so much. Lucca cafe and restaurant is located underneath the apartment. TJ and his team made us feel welcome. See yah all next visit. We will be back. Great price for everything you get. A+++++++”
Good Local Pyes Pa favours a burger‑led mix with clear, clean flavours. Ribs and steaks arrive seasoned and tender. Easy carry‑out for a simple night in. Desserts close the meal with familiar comfort.
“We only had one night in Napier and booked into Seabreeze. Communication was extremely good, with enquiries about allergies, and instructions about best car parking spots. Guido was friendly and helpful, he provided a nice breakfast, and offered ideas on places to go and things to see in Napier. The rooms were decorated in bright colourful styles, which had obviously been very carefully considered and coordinated. The sunroom for breakfast had a wonderful view out to the seafront. All -in -all this was a very positive experience, with an attentive helpful host.”
“We did a beer tasting and cider for the non beer drinkers. They are good on the gluten free drinks but I didn't eat. I was told the hot chips were pretty good. The others all got flights of beer, 5 beers form the tasting. I thoroughly enjoyed my cider and ginger beer but the alcoholic ginger beer unfortunately had gluten. We will be going back.”
Careys Bay Historic Hotel favours a classic fish-and-chips line-up with clear, tidy flavours. Value feels fair for the spread. Easy to carry out for a simple night in. Portions are generous yet well judged.

“Friendly staff that are always very helpful, even when they haven't had what I need they generally have a good recommendation for an alternative”
“Friendly, attentive and professional service. Great teamwork. Highly recommend.”
“Remarkable! That’s the best way to describe The Hotel Britomart. We loved the art, the eco-conscious identity, and the overall atmosphere. From the moment we arrived until our departure, the staff were simply amazing. We finally managed to visit the beautiful Library Lounge (it was booked for a private event the night before), and what a treat it was! A special thank you to the lounge manager, Luciano, who made us one of the best — if not the best — martinis we’ve ever had. Thank you for a truly memorable stay!”
“I really enjoyed my one-night stay at this hotel excellent value for money. Upon arrival, the staff were friendly and even checked us in earlier than the usual 2pm time. The room was large, very clean, and the TV offered plenty of options. My only small feedback would be that the pillows were a bit firm for my liking. I slept well regardless, the shower was refreshing in the morning, and the breakfast was simple yet satisfying. Overall, a great stay I would definitely return next time I’m in Auckland. Thank you!”
“Definitely a hidden Gem of Indian cuisine in Henderson. I popped in last night for a feed and a pint and once again did not disappolnt Great friendly staff nice drinks selection”
“I had a wonderful experience at British Isles Inn. From the moment we arrived, the owner made us feel genuinely welcome with their warm and friendly attitude. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was inviting and cozy, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food paired with outstanding hospitality!”
“Our dog ate a starfish which was a pretty stressful experience as we had no idea whether it was toxic or not. The vet that we saw here was very professional and helped us weigh up the risks and ultimately we got a good outcome for our pup. Very knowledgeable and helpful.”
“Host was available by phone when we arrived early to drop off bags. The suite was very nice, with a great view”
“Stayed here for 3 nights and absolutely loved every moment! I’d highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a quiet, beautiful home in the heart of nature. The wine tour with Nicky (the host) was equally amazing! A truly great way to see the island and spend a day getting to know about the delicious grape juice this island has to offer. I’ll be back again for sure!”
“We've been here twice in the last month, and had a great meal each time. The new owners are really friendly and nice, and the bar has a nice coast atmoshere. On the Halloween night they had a dress up session with prizes, and Nelly was perfect as an Angel. The food is all great. I highly recommend the pizzas and the steak. Both are excellent. If I had to make one improvement suggestion, it would be to perhaps get a a wider range of craft beers. But generally this is a great place that I highly recommend.”
“Full house for a Tue dinner service (before a sellout show at MFC). Be sure to book! Burrata, flatbread, snapper crudo, gnocchi, wagyu flank, half lamb shoulder (classic they'll hopefully never stop serving), sides of cauli & fries - between 4. All dishes were perfectly on point flavour-wise and generous enough to share. Everyone left satisfied and still recalling the yum hours later. Service was attentive and friendly but unprentious. Unique and broad selection of wines (cocktails a bit slow, but it was busy). Overall a very memorable meal and will for sure continue to recommend to others for special occassions, and return.”
“We were in search of some of Wellington’s best cheese scones! I think this is definitely up there. Soft cheesy goodness heated up in a sandwich press to ensure it doesn’t go soggy/rubbery. You can get a larger one, or smaller ones for slightly less. Absolutely delicious cheese scones, wish I could eat it all over again! Pravda has some serious competition! El porteno also make a delicious hot choco which is a great price!”
“Visiting the city and found an excellent spot for exceptional coffee. On a sunny day, the best place to enjoy it is the outdoor terrace upstairs - quieter, more spacious, and refreshingly open, perfect for a leisurely breakfast and long conversations. The service is warm, welcoming, almost joyous, with staff who appear genuinely enthusiastic, accommodating, and efficient. Though the space is compact, the atmosphere is full of heart. Had a very lovely experience here. Thanks Frank’s and Wellington!”
“What a wonderful surprise. Clean, located right off of a bus stop, wonderful location, quiet, attentive staff. As others have noted, Leo's is spectacular bakery and coffee shop right next door. Couldn't be happier.”
“I spent 6 weeks in India, but this was the best curry I’ve ever had. Extremely flavourful and delicious, it tasted fresh and homemade in all the best ways. Fabulous little takeaway place and I will definitely be back! Thank you for the wonderful food!”
“Great meal at Noble Rot. Scallops were fresh and delicate, the proteins were cooked perfectly, and the sauces were rich and well-balanced. The crispy-skin fish was a standout. Some dishes leaned a bit classic and could use more colour or acidity, and the dessert felt slightly heavy, but overall a very well-executed, enjoyable dinner.”
“Our company sends people to Wellington most months. We find Terrace Villas the most practical place to stay. The apartments are spacious and comfortable. We are easily able to conduct our business from the apartments and the management is ready to help with anything we need - we often hold meetings with our clients and they find the surroundings pleasant and relaxed. Neil”
“Awesome Vet, very understanding and friendly, definitely the best my dog has been. Highly recommend to all.”
“Extremely tidy and well suited rooms with a great view of the bay. Friendly staff also very helpful”
“very good vet clinic. Nice and friendly staffs. Very happy experience to me and my kittens❤️”
“Don't judge a book by its cover. The proprietors of this lovely motel are the most amazing, generous and friendly couple. The rooms are well appointed, comfortable and nicely renovated. I would not hesitate to stay here again. I recommend them highly. Thanks Amanda and Gary :)”
