“This has changed hands and is now called Cafe Bloom. The new operator Marie sells excellent food. With a big selection of sweet and savoury foods. I had the chicken, sweet corn and leek soup and it’s was perfect, tasty, fresh, full of goodness. They also have a new coffee machine, lighting and great new signage Bloom Cafe. Handily located within Decor Garden Centre.”

“I wish I would’ve discovered this place sooner. And I’m so grateful that I still found it. I came in for a coffee and it’s really cool cause each one has a double shot and I opted for a third shot and it’s only a dollar more and then I saw this amazing scone And I had no intention of eating food until I saw this thing and I’m like I gotta have it and wow, it is one of the favorite things I have eaten in a while. I highly recommend coming here. They have such a wide variety of fresh baked, pastries, and savory items and sandwiches. I will be back. Thank you for creating such a wonderful place to indulge my taste buds.”
“Great Breakfast Spot in Mount Maunganui! Really happy we found Groovy while we were visiting the Mount. The food is fresh, hearty and very delicious. Cappuccinos are great. Happy and friendly atmosphere. You should definitely come over and check it out!”

“Great little find close to our Marine Parade South accomodation. Most taken by the Breakfast Pie, grabbed the last one, then a "Devil Pie" caught my eye; a delemma!!! The Breakfast Pie was delicious. Perhaps I'll try the Devil Pie tomorrow.”
“Excellent service, greeted and shown our seats as soon as we arrived. The staff were always on hand checking on us, never had to wait long to ask for another drink or anything else off the menu. The food was delicious. Large meals. Wanted to try the dessert but didn't have enough room in our bellies from the delicious food. Love the garlic loaf and the mocktails were yummy.”
“This owner works hard by himself pumping the orders out and our food is always really good!”
“Made us up the best big breakfast. Fast efficient service. Would recommend.”
“OMG this place deserves a gold ten-star rating. This large converted building has a warm rustic vibe & is complete with a wood-burning fire for those wet, chilly days. The staff are welcoming & the menu & cabinet selection is simply next level & at reasonable price points given the exceptional quality & variety on offer. I had the rosti stack & my fella had the sweet corn fritters with side salad. They did not disappoint - they tasted as good as they looked. The organic Havana coffee was also excellent. If you are in Hawkes Bay you simply must take a detour - it will be the best food you’ve tucked into in ages. This place beats anything we have frequented in years! There’s also a wide selection of giftware for children & adults.”
On the plate at Village Green Cafe, the idea is coffee-and-cabinet and well executed. Meat‑free options are woven into the menu. Value feels fair for the spread. Breakfast plates are tidy and satisfying.
“Best pies in Hastings HANDS DOWN! Without a word of a lie, these pies are amazing and a steal @ $5.50! Superb tasty fillings and the most delicious flaky, melt in your mouth pastry, I’ve tasted in Heretaunga. Great coffee at a very reasonable price too ($5.50 for XL Latte). I’ve also tried dine in - the Eggs Benedict was lovely and great value @$11.50. Super quick service too from this little local family owned/run business. My favourite!!!”

“A great find have been coming regularly as have been visiting hospital. Sandwiches are so fresh. Staff are very welcoming”
“Beautiful view overlooking the port. The ambience inside is unique and can cater for larger crowds. Coffee was excellent, probably one of the best I've had in Dunedin. There must've been a shortage of Caramel slice with the tiny pieces available, however it not lack in taste. Should've been $3.50 at the most. My friend was disappointed that there was no cheese scone however, nonetheless he settled for a savoury scone which he said was great.”
“Good place to have a good breakfast to start the day. Very friendly staffs and they are helpful. In the afternoon, there are variety choices of cakes for tea time. Good Earl Grey tea served here.”
