Excellent service, greeted and shown our seats as soon as we arrived. The staff were always on hand checking on us, never had to wait long to ask for another drink or anything else off the menu. The food was delicious. Large meals. Wanted to try the dessert but didn't have enough room in our bellies from the delicious food. Love the garlic loaf and the mocktails were yummy.

Ordered BB Ribs and meat was tough and dry, the sauce wasn't that nice. Quite disappointed really. They don't even serve people water. Atmosphere is nice and people serving are pleasant but they didn't come to ask how the meal was till I was finished. (well I didn't finish eating the meat as it was so bad.)

Nice cozy environment, great for all group sizes, and love the location of the restraunt, in the heart of napier. - Johnny Cash stack 9.7/10 This main IS my main. Perfectly stuffed chicken breast, with a solid mushroom sauce with potato rotisserie as a side. Big main, you'll might not need a starter. - Dixie chicken 8.4/10 Was told it had changed since the last time we came here. However the sauce was still nice and potato are a nice addition to the chicken. Enjoyed the customer service as well, very friendly and approachable and ill be back again.

TL;Dr: Giving a lone-star rating for the terrible service, and the flavours of the food while good couldn't save my experience. When we were first seated and served, the waiters kept coming to ask for our orders in quick succession. While that isn't a biggie, what made us feel like bringing out dollars to a different place is when our order was finally taken. The waiter simply asked us if we wanted our three starters served all at the same time. We thought nothing of it and said yes. Side note, we didn't order mains because the mains we wanted was available as starters and we also ordered tacos. However, when the three starters were served, clearly our table didn't have enough space for us to be eating comfortably. The waiter still squeezed our tacos onto the table. I even hinted to the waiter for a bigger table by asking if we have another table. We ended up having a terribly uncomfortable meal. We also asked for water but it was never served. Food-wise, it was decent. Interesting flavours, especially the tacos and prawn star, but not enough to save the terrible service. A note of caution, we strongly doubt that the prawn star uses tiger prawns or basmati rice - Tiger prawns are usually bigger and fleshier, and basmati rice is long-grain. Mussels weren't all fresh as well.

The customer service by the guy who seated us was awesome he was lovely. However the young trainee girl forgot our water we had asked for , was quite rude when it came to me ordering for my children as she assumed I was ordering off the children's menu for myself which clearly I wasn't when my two under 7 year old children were seated by her and can clearly see they cannot order for themselves. She was quick to snap and assume. The ribs were very sickening after awhile was very sweet but was lovely , huge portion. Different taste very orangey. My partner wasn't a fan of the coleslaw , it lacked flavour but his steak was cooked to perfection and the mushroom sauce was yum. My children enjoyed their meals and the attention they were getting from the waiter that seated us. The seats are dangerous as my daughters seat kept giving way from underneath her and falling over , rubber feet on the wooden chairs would help to prevent anyone else getting injured like this especially an elderly person. My daughter has bruised her tailbone from simply getting off her seat or reaching for her glass of drink. The disabled toilets/baby changing facility is absolutely revolting the smell that comes from that toilet is disgusting it lingers at the entrance way to get to the toilets. It is the first toilet on the left. Changing the nappy bin more throughout the service would help and adding the toilet gel inside the bins could help. I would not change my baby in there I would vomit from spending 5 seconds in there. But other than that the presentation was good , the service from the 2 male waiters and the Asian waitress was superb.
