Enjoyed a beautiful "big boy" breakfast this morning. I should not have been able to finish it... but did.... so good. Didn't get time to take a photo... not of the food but check out the setting...
What a cool place, loved it the staff (all female including the chefs were amazing) so why did I give it a 4. I swapped my eggs Benedict (the eggs were cold btw) from sourdough to a rosti and what I got was a 2cm thick potato wedge with chunks of potato, rosti to my mind is thin made of grated potato, but thats fine, just ate half… we ate , left and were happy and would go again
Lily pad has an amazing holiday atmosphere. A charming cafe located between farms. The food was great, and the gluten free bread on my sandwich was delicious. The sweet gluten free options in the cabinet were stunning. The staff was so friendly and attentive!
Great little country cafe. They have a small play set for the kids and a cold beer or white wine for the adults. Food and atmosphere are exceptional. So worth a stop also the dogs have a small menu section
This is a great cafe in the countryside with amazingly atmosphere and beautiful food. It has a children’s playground and indoor and outdoor seating. Also a gas fireplace for the winter. Never disappoints. Great coffee too!
I popped out the lily pad cafe, after I did a Google search for a cafe. The staff were so friendly, helpful and engaging. I tried something a little different that I've never tried before, a hot chocolate with a caramel shot. So good. The food was a great size, for the price, well presented and yummy. We came upon this cafe by sheer luck and what a happy accident that was - excellent food, fantastic service from friendly staff, and a lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for wholesome, quality food. We will definitely be back.
We had a very poor lunch experience at Lily pad cafe. We were a group of 12 and told there would be a 20 minutes wait for food and we waited 65 minutes for the first meal and the rest came out over a 10 minute period. We had 6 kids at our table and nothing was offered to keep them going until the meals came - we had to ask for this and received chips that were too hot to eat and undercooked. Our meals were inedible - the fish and chips was $26 and consisted of some undercooked chips and a single small piece of the most revolting fish I’ve tasted - we didn’t eat it. The avo smash was some mashed avo on toast. We expressed our disappointment and were given a 50% discount on the inedible fish and chips only. The smoothies however were lovely. We have been regulars at lily pad for years and unfortunately will not return. A total disappointment which is a shame because it is a beautiful location and outlook and we have loved it in the past.
