Stopped in for a quick bite to eat. Everytime I drive past it Always looks busy. Now I know why! Awesome food - not normally my goto for a cafe but try the lamb pie, if there's any left! very kid friendly too. Looking forward to the next visit to try more delicious morsels.

We really love this place, the food is delicious - what you'd expect from down to earth home cooking - the atmosphere, whether inside, out on the porch, or out on the grass area, is comfortable and relaxed. The staff are friendly and the service is good. Well worth the drive from Hastings, or up from the south.

OMG this place deserves a gold ten-star rating. This large converted building has a warm rustic vibe & is complete with a wood-burning fire for those wet, chilly days. The staff are welcoming & the menu & cabinet selection is simply next level & at reasonable price points given the exceptional quality & variety on offer. I had the rosti stack & my fella had the sweet corn fritters with side salad. They did not disappoint - they tasted as good as they looked. The organic Havana coffee was also excellent. If you are in Hawkes Bay you simply must take a detour - it will be the best food youβve tucked into in ages. This place beats anything we have frequented in years! Thereβs also a wide selection of giftware for children & adults.

Summary: Amazing cafe! Of it's in your way stop here and enjoy it Below I will cover Location/Parking, Decor/Atmosphere, Food/Style, Value, Staff, Accessibility, Bathrooms. Feel free to skip to the parts you need Location/Parking: It's in the main road to Hastings (about 30km from Hastings) so easy to just drive in for coffee. The tranquil farm views around it is really awesome and outside you will find lovely trees to sit under, kids play house, little herb gardens etc. Decor/Atmosphere: I love the decor! So much detail to look at with everything from the floors, tables to ceilings having something to offer. Feels warm, homely and fun Food/Style: Great selection of breakfast and lunch options on the menu as well the cold fridge. I do wish the pies were freshly baked but they do look amazing. Super yummy scones and salad options too. Judging from what we ordered or the food I see others got the quality is great I couldn't see any vegan options sadly so points of for that. They do offer oat milk for the coffee though as you would expect so point for that Value: Prices seem reasonable for the experience and food Staff: Staff is very friendly and know the menu well. Very helpful. Keep in mind you have to order I side they do t take orders at the table Accessibility: There are Ramos for wheel chairs so should be ok. High five team. I don't see any other accessibility options like braille Bathrooms: Bathrooms clean with one that had accessibility options e.g rails, more space for chairs etc. Also baby change stand for parents

It was lovely, it was my first time and also my friend first time to, Lovely food, I do like how it's like a old farm type kitchen. I real like the miss match china wear, We got beautiful china teapot with our cup's and saucers.. We also got there late, they let us stay until we had finished our desserts and had our last cup of tea. Excellent service.

Such a nice place! Very interesting on the inside with lots of nice arty stuff to look at. It was fun playing naughts and crosses while we waited for our meal. Food was excellent and well priced. Good for kids as there is a play house in the garden.

We discovered this little gem of a place today on our travels! Very cozy, warm, inviting cafe with very friendly and professional staff. It was lovely to be greeted in such a welcoming manner. Old-fashioned charm and service; thatβs gold! The food, we had the potato rosti stack with bacon, was fresh and cooked beautifully with that superb home-made taste thatβs hard to find nowadays! The coffee is made by a qualified barista and the blend was perfect. We will be back for sure!

Had the eggs Benedict with salmon. A little too much sauce for my liking which was unfortunately cold. Great little spot though. Wouldnβt let this stop me from going back again.
