“Both of my babies attend Busy Bees Hastings, and I couldn’t be happier with this place! My children go to school very happily and enjoy spending time with their lovely aunties and friends. At first, my youngest was very shy and not familiar with the culture since we are far from our home country. But she was never isolated, the teachers treated her just the same as every other child, with love and care. Now she has become so courageous and active, and it makes us so proud to see her confidence growing. Almost every day, my children bring home beautiful artworks and paintings, which they are excited to show us. I truly recommend Busy Bees Hastings 100% to anyone looking for a warm, supportive, and creative environment for their children”

“The teachers here are so kind and genuinely care about the kids. They always keep us parents in the loop, which means a lot. Our son comes home smiling every day. The centre has all these little spots with fun things for the kids to explore, plus a big outdoor area where they can run around and burn off some energy. “This resort has both accommodation and camp sites. It's so far about the normal It's unbelievable. Amazingly luxurious glamping tents, rooms with every amenity and gorgeous facilities. There are lounges and a heated swimming pool with spa bath, a sauna and I've bath in the ample landscaped grounds, and all next door to the boutique 'village' of Havelock North.”

“This was the best meal I've had at a restaurant in ages. Attentive and friendly service, pleasant surroundings. The food was fantastic, great value for the money. We enjoyed the gnocchi with oyster and lions mane mushrooms, as well as the perfectly cooked tarakihi fillet with asparagus, shredded fennel, wilted greens and salsa verde. A good wine list and beautiful Little City kombucha completed our meal. We will be back next time we're in this part of the country.”

“Delightful little theatre with very comfortable seating. The screen is a decent size and the picture is always clear. The sound can be easily understood according to my hubby and for those, like myself who have difficulty hearing, there are headsets available. I use these in place of my hearing aids. There’s a reasonable selection of drinks including wine. We have not tried the pizzas which need to be ordered 20 minutes prior to the movie. Highly recommend checking out a flick here.”

“Visited for a particular exhibit "The Secret Keeper" artist Catherine Daniels a truly beautiful soul. The exhibit is haunting gorgeousness had me in tears. The venue is a beautiful building amoung Napiers older classics, its pretty inside and out.”

“Just nipped in for lunch and wow, the craft beer selection here is incredible! I had a milk stout, my partner a ginger and mandarin – best drinks ever! The manager was lovely and so attentive, and the bar staff were all super helpful. The food was amazing too – the steak was cooked perfectly, so buttery and tender, it practically melted in your mouth! Can't wait to come back!”

“Sealed road all the way to the campsite. Stunning place to relax along the Mohaka River. We stayed one night and woke up to amazing birdsong in the morning. The sound of water at night is peaceful too. Would definitely recommend if you're wanting a place to stay between Napier and Taupo.”

“The perfect place to see a movie. Cheap, affordable with a great atmosphere and the staff are super friendly. Grab a bite before or after the movie at the restaurant located in the cinema building or you can get some munchies for the movie itself. Either way it's a great local experience and my wife and I feel so privileged to have a cinema right in town.”

Definitely different to your average gift shop (that seem to be popping up in every town, all selling the exact same imported junk).”

“OMG this place deserves a gold ten-star rating. This large converted building has a warm rustic vibe & is complete with a wood-burning fire for those wet, chilly days. The staff are welcoming & the menu & cabinet selection is simply next level & at reasonable price points given the exceptional quality & variety on offer. I had the rosti stack & my fella had the sweet corn fritters with side salad. They did not disappoint - they tasted as good as they looked. The organic Havana coffee was also excellent. If you are in Hawkes Bay you simply must take a detour - it will be the best food you’ve tucked into in ages. This place beats anything we have frequented in years! There’s also a wide selection of giftware for children & adults.”

“What a little gem! For a low price, I got a comfy tiny cabin with access to showers, restrooms, and the outdoor kitchen. Great location, just 20 minutes north of Napier. And the food is amazing, particularly the chicken filo, which I highly recommend.”

“Superb location central in Napier with beautiful sea views enjoyed from the room or on the balcony. Great bedroom, with comfortable bed. Spacious and well equipped with homely needs and an excellent stereo system. Little touches like coffee, tea and milk. This was one of favourite places we’ve stayed at here in NZ on our travels. Bike trips out to the vineyards etc. Tourist office directly opposite the apartment”
