   Always a pleasant experience dining at Malo! Highly recommended, the food is delicious- I had a tasty sirloin with hasselback potatoes and the refreshing dessert of strawberries with custard and sorbet. The complimentary bread is superb! The gorgeous Nikki was an amazing and delightful server, had excellent suggestions! I enjoyed the 0% alcohol apple cider Zeffer - thanks Nikki for a wonderful evening!

   This was the best meal I've had at a restaurant in ages. Attentive and friendly service, pleasant surroundings. The food was fantastic, great value for the money. We enjoyed the gnocchi with oyster and lions mane mushrooms, as well as the perfectly cooked tarakihi fillet with asparagus, shredded fennel, wilted greens and salsa verde. A good wine list and beautiful Little City kombucha completed our meal. We will be back next time we're in this part of the country.

   We had a wonderful dinner for two. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere was fantastic. The food was excellent, and we were completely satisfied. The prices aren’t cheap, but they’re absolutely fair. Highly recommended!

   We had a great experience at Malo! The food was incredibly delicious and there was a wide selection of drinks, something for everyone. Absolutely loved the atmosphere and the attention to detail by the staff. I booked ahead, letting them know it was our anniversary. There was a card on the table signed by all of the staff, a lovely touch. I will be recommending Malo to all of my friends and family and we will definitely be back!

   Wow what an addition to Havelock. Gorgeous restaurant under the hotel. Quite a replacement for the old happy tav. Spectacular food, relaxing atmosphere and, for us, fabulous company. Open from 11am for coffee and lunch from 12. Highly recommend. Fresh fish selection daily.

   Went here for a dinner with work colleagues, everything went well in terms of service. The food was excellent. Really loved their special of the day which was roasted half duck, special mention to their cream brulee.
