A good meal spoiled by cigarette smoke drifting in from the outdoor smoking area. It felt strange to have smokers positioned right beside the dining space, especially with the wind blowing the smoke indoors.
2nd stay here. It was a last minute booking, they handled my lateness so well and the recent drop In pricing was definitely attractive. The staff are so lovely and engaging. I felt anxious going into the packed out restaurant/bar area by myself while the rugby was on but the staff helped by being friendly and holding genuine conversation. I ordered a meal and they offered to deliver it to my room which was so great after driving 12hrs over the last 24 hours, it will definitely be my continued choice of accomodation when visiting Napier. The rooms are nice and tidy with plenty of space and sky in the rooms is so good! Only critique is the strong smell of I assume cleaning products but given I booked at 7pm perhaps staff didn’t have time to air the room out. All in all- love it here.
Solid spot: Cool setting with a laid-back vibe and decor. Staff are on point—friendly, quick, and know their stuff. Menu’s got plenty of options, all fresh and tasty, covering whatever you’re in the mood for. Drinks are a highlight, with a strong lineup of beers, wines, and cocktails. Worth checking out.
Just nipped in for lunch and wow, the craft beer selection here is incredible! I had a milk stout, my partner a ginger and mandarin – best drinks ever! The manager was lovely and so attentive, and the bar staff were all super helpful. The food was amazing too – the steak was cooked perfectly, so buttery and tender, it practically melted in your mouth! Can't wait to come back!

This pub is awesome , awesome craft beers , awesome staff , awesome food and awesome unit . We stayed here for the night before an early morning flight and it was so good huge selection of beers and the meals were next level so good and the staff were so friendly and attentive…. Thanks heaps
We had our Christmas work function at The Westshore We were greeted by friendly helpful staff. We were advised of a staff shortage and to be honest we didn’t notice… The staff were amazing the food was fantastic and we were all very well looked after… The DM who hosted us through the evening and into the late night was most hospitable and really took great care of all of us. Thanks again to the Westshore team for an amazing no hassle work function we had a blast and would love to do it all again soon.
A group of us dined in the pub restaurant on a Saturday night. Customer service was exceptional ! Food was ok but not of the high standard you get at the Bayview pub - which is exceptional. Loved the sports on the big screen. People chatter was really loud but then expected on a busy Saturday night. Selection of beers top notch. Overall great pub but food was just ok.
