“Popped in to the store needing some help with sorting out our pond. The guys were so friendly and knowledgeable. The price of the filter that we left with was cheaper than the other aquatic store in CHCH too!”

“Thank you Chet and Steve of being a very good and lovely hosts. Very good stay, the room is cosy, clean and comfortable. They have small little pantry in the room itself - coffee, tea, water and a kettle to boil water. Toilet amenities are also provided. And I like the surrounding garden with planted apples, pears, plums, lavenders and so many others. Walking distance to the nearby cafes and restaurants, and 15km to the Christchurch international airport. As my flight is very early, so I don’t have chance to have the breakfast, which I really love to do it in my next visit again.”

“Extremely efficient service and Craig was great to deal with on the day. After a week there were no spiders evident any more and our usual house full of flies at this time of the year has dwindled to the odd one or two thanks to getting the lift done. We will definitely use this service again.”

“Worked a Corporate Challenge in Christchurch this week. Commodore Hotel was exceptionally localed for both the event and airport. It has the most luxurious bed. It was like sleeping on clouds. The kitchen was open for a late night dinner, which was very much appreciated with finishing so late. The breakfast this morning was delicious. Offering both a Continental Breakfast and brilliant A La Carte. I opted for the Continental which was perfectly satisfying.”

“Very convenient to central Christchurch. Stayed here a couple of times, Summer and Winter and the contrast is interesting. There is a back deck outside area with covers and heaters. Drag blankets from the games room too if needed. Cosy villa all around. Can't wait to stay again.”

“My dog, Charlie, is my life. A few weeks ago he became very unwell and needed to have emergency surgery after swallowing a piece of bark that lodged in his small intestines. We have used Shirley Vet Clinic for years as their staff are all so caring, knowledgeable, and friendly. Once again I was blown away by everything that the team did to save my boy. The aftercare was also top notch. Charlie is nearly back to 100%. I can’t thank the team enough for everything. They are amazing. “Took a friend here yesterday with Kayla the pup. Prior to going had emailed for information on immunisations. Prompt friendly response from staff. Phoned to book and staff friendly and happy to help. Great staff and very reasonably priced. Visit calm and friendly wait, vet gentle with pup, picked up heart murmur explained it well. Good checkup, information on behaviour management. Suggested puppy schools and trainer. When to worm etc. Loved the backpack/front pack idea for walking around Mitre10 and getting her used to all sorts of people and noises. Great reminders about not putting pup on the ground where unvaccinated dogs Iggy have been, due to high rates of parvovirus in Chch at moment. I’m going back here to get our girl backup to date health wise. Thankyou”

“They've looked after my family of pets in stellar fashion. Professional staff with a real compassion when times get rough to help in every which way. Always accommodating with squeezing you in when the odd situation requires it and always make my loved fluffy ones care priority.”

“I would highly recommend these guys. Had to see them over a long weekend when our vet was closed and have since transferred our 2 dogs and cat over to them. They are all so helpful and go beyond expectations. They even rang to check up on our cat the following week to see how she was doing and have given us really great advice. They really care about your pets and very well priced. 10 out of 10 ⭐️”

“My 13 month old Greyhound and I just compleaded a 4 week manners course. From the start Georgia made everything easy I was unsure of what class would best suit our needs so we arranged a pre training assessment. We met with Kerry, who listened and made me feel that he cared and that he genuinely wanted to show me how to help my dog and I to work together as a team. “Wanted to get back into the hobby but this time with a larger tank. For a 140 liter tank I was looking at a price around $200 but went to Rodney's tropicals and paid $132 for a custom glass tank that is strong and also looks very tidy. Very happy with the tank and also looking forward to selecting fish from here as they have a large selection at a great price. Strongly recommend visiting this store.”

“I can’t speak highly enough about this motel and the awesome owners Brendon and Tina. They bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay, even allowing us an early check-in and late checkout to work around medical appointments. Brendon even brought in some mobility aids to make life easier in the unit. It was like a home away from home for us…spacious, clean, quiet, well equipped and very handy to some great eateries. They even had pot plants to give it a homely feel. We will definitely look forward to staying here again on our next trip to Christchurch.”

“Came across this place when looking for a place to stay in Little River after cycling the Rail Trail and before venturing further into the peninsula. This place was amazing - it really was - I just wish I had more time than an overnight stop to enjoy it. The design philosophy and practice is totally inspirational. I hope to stay again one day.”

“I've just finished working in Rangiora for 3 months. I stayed at The Riverstone Motel for the whole time and loved it. Quiet, convenient, and comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for super friendly hosts Charlotte and Mike. Every evening I'd come back to the curtains drawn and the heat pump on. It's the little things that count.I recommend it 100% and would go back in a heartbeat.”
