“Great facility and our cat came back happy and well. Deborah was great to deal with. We had been struggling to secure a cattery over Easter and Deborah let us know when she had a cancellation and was able to take our pet on short notice. She was also great about extending his planned stay and was clear on communication feeding information and pick up/drop off. Will definitely use in the future”

Our extremely picky border collie who is very active & needing to put on some weight absolutely loved the Nourish biscuits & Frozen Concentrate combo. Feeding is now a much more pleasant experience in our household ❤️ My bank account is also very appreciative as the biscuits are super cost-effective. Michelle has always been a superstar, being super helpful by breaking down the cost and suggesting what works best for you and your fur baby! So grateful for not needing to keep changing dog food every few weeks.”

“Peter and Tessa are exceptional moteliers, they go out of their way to accommodate the needs of their guests. They were prompt and reliable with airport pick-ups and were also very obliging with dropping us off at a family event. The motel rooms were large, light and airy, and very well equipped. We appreciated the space of the one bedroom unit. The gardens are immaculate and very colourful. We’ll be back!”

“Extremely efficient service and Craig was great to deal with on the day. After a week there were no spiders evident any more and our usual house full of flies at this time of the year has dwindled to the odd one or two thanks to getting the lift done. We will definitely use this service again.”

“The team at WAG Doggy Daycare are absolutely fantastic. We have just started our 2 mini schnauzers at WAG and the staff have been amazing in helping them settle in. Photos and reels bring smiles with the whole family following WAG on socials. Both dogs are so excited on arrival and have such a great time. “Absolutely beautiful little retreat, the rooms are the perfect size for a couples getaway, the views are incredible and the best part was the hot tub at night with the stars and one of the best wines we have tasted. We feel refreshed and renewed. Lots of extra details that made this place such a gem, from Bluetooth connectivity throughout the room to the luxury bathroom and of course the super comfy bed. Well done to all who make this place so special, couldn’t have asked for a more perfect way to start our NZ holiday. Thank you :)”

“Whilst attending my daughter's wedding celebrations, I booked three rooms, for three nights, for my family members travelling from Melbourne. I cannot speak highly enough of our hosts Frank and Jenny, who took us into and shared their home with us. The location is within walking distance of the village of Lyttleton and its services. Our hosts were attentive, friendly and supportive, but, not intrusive. Their rooms were a delight, comfortable, spacious and serviced daily, unless one signed that it was not necessary. Ensuites, heated towel racks, room heaters ensured a comfortable stay. The views over Lyttleton Harbour are breathtaking, complemented by the external open patio, complete with outdoor furniture and barbecue for guests to relax and enjoy. Complimentary cereals, yogurts, fruit, tea and coffees ensure a relaxing start to the day. Frank and Jenny are approachable, friendly and helpful, we enjoyed our stay and commend you to them when next you visit Christchurch or Lyttleton areas.”

“Had a fabulous stay here. Very comfortable and clean room, with all necessary amenities provided. Fantastic spot right next to the cafe and Diamond Harbour eatery, with easy access to the ferry and lots of walking tracks. Really loved being able to have our dog stay with us too. “After a 9 hour flight and a night stay in Auckland, we were pleasantly surprised at our accommodations at Sumner Re Treat. We were greeted by Chris and she escorted us to our room. It was not only spotless, but very attractively decorated. Our accommodations came with all the necessary amenities, the decor was contemporary, and the location was excellent. There were numerous eateries within walking distance. Best of all, it was a short walk to the beach. I would definitely recommend Sumner Retreat if you plan on visiting Christchurch and want to get away from the City Centre.”
