“A colleague and I stayed in Sumner Bay Motel recently and would be more than happy to stay here again. The service and friendliness of Sophie and Mark was outstanding. We were in the 2 bedroom unit, 2 lovely comfy couches in the good sized living space, beautifully equipped kitchen and comfy beds, Very warm when it was freexing outside. Highly recommend, great motel, great location”

“Great place, with great service! My partner and I went into Dawes last week to get feed for our meal worms. Had a bit of a walk from the bus stop near Foremans Rd to Dawes itself, and would have had to get a taxi from Dawes back to our place in Beckenham. Thank you to Dawes awesome Operations Manager John Miller who offered to deliver the feed to our door for us at no extra cost! Thank you John for your amazing service, we will be back again. “Definitely a place not to be missed - you will meet the most lovely alpacas here. We had a restful night’s stay with comfy beds and fluffy pillows. Many thanks to Kit for the farm tour and sharing stories which we truly enjoyed. We will be back to visit again!”

“A really good vet clinic , my cat is still under treatment so I don't know about her outcome yet .It will be a while to get her stable and ongoing .She couldn't be in better hands. I think she is very unwell ,she went away for 2 -3 days and just came back tonight. I fed her and my stray black cat came in for his fed.they don't get on as he is a real male ,unneutered and think he's a feral/exdomestic cat possibly dumped or left behind when young he did the cat flap next door & got kicked out harshly so came into mine he was starving.. I kicked him out as there was a big cat fight ,mine hid under the bed eventually ,He has scooted out the flap but 5 minures he comes back with this low growl 'keep away' big bluff actually . So I fed him some of that shredded meat and he was one happy cat and he loves milk (I know it's not too good for their lungs apparently) but he drunk 2 bowls and got into the cat biscuits .He's sporadic though I never know when he'll turn up and now I'm allowed to pet him .I slipped him a dewormer tab and is now a pitch black nice cat. The Manx I think is too ill to save Petal needs to sleep but I can't get her out from under the bed . I'm too disabled to reach her ,I tried but shes found a good spot.Mean while I adopted Rufus an 8 year old mixed breed big like a lab. He's a softie ,loves food and likes me the source of delights .He has to sample tit bits off my plate I hand him or I risk losing the whole lot and he loves icecream & custard .Sorry to ramble but I'm in bit of a panic with Petal she needs out and in the cage when I can get her to my vet in Darfield . She had 3 lovely kittens all adopted 2 females with normal tails and a male a real Manx ,a little knub for a tail .He went to my best mates wife. I later thought Darn I shoulda kept him for Petal and us ........She had a good life sole charge I used to see her patrolling the territory and she never figured out a hedgehog we used to feed..............I got a pic somewhere...Oh well, I'll have to call someone I hope she doesn't leave me again.”

“Worked a Corporate Challenge in Christchurch this week. Commodore Hotel was exceptionally localed for both the event and airport. It has the most luxurious bed. It was like sleeping on clouds. The kitchen was open for a late night dinner, which was very much appreciated with finishing so late. The breakfast this morning was delicious. Offering both a Continental Breakfast and brilliant A La Carte. I opted for the Continental which was perfectly satisfying.”

“A quiet and wonderful home-style backpackers. The hosts, Alan and Keiko, are lovely and welcoming. The garden is gorgeous, and the rooms and facilities well kept. Definitely recommend staying, and will come back again!”

“There care our beloved cat received was outstanding. The vet was amazing our cat was really scared and so was I. She explained everything really clearly and was so compassionate and caring that our cat calmed down and I think fell a little in love, she was purring instead of hissing. We possibly have a long road to get our wee girl back to good health but I have every faith in our vet Thank you”

“My 13 month old Greyhound and I just compleaded a 4 week manners course. From the start Georgia made everything easy I was unsure of what class would best suit our needs so we arranged a pre training assessment. We met with Kerry, who listened and made me feel that he cared and that he genuinely wanted to show me how to help my dog and I to work together as a team. “Great central location with an easy walk to many highlights of the city, especially New Regent St for coffee, gelato and dining. Warm comfortable suite with everything we needed for a 5 day staycation. Beautiful building and lively atmosphere out front was always a great welcome home. Communication from Zeenie & Sarah was exceptional given unexpected change in travel plans. Would definitely book again.”

“Wanted to get back into the hobby but this time with a larger tank. For a 140 liter tank I was looking at a price around $200 but went to Rodney's tropicals and paid $132 for a custom glass tank that is strong and also looks very tidy. Very happy with the tank and also looking forward to selecting fish from here as they have a large selection at a great price. Strongly recommend visiting this store.”

“Lovely little OP Shop, always a collection of random free items outside and very well organised items inside. The board behind the counter with all the dogs that are being helped out by the charity just add to it and it's great knowing that anything spent here is going to such a good charity. Grabbed so many different bits and bobs for the house from here and always pop in if I'm in the area.”
