“Riverside is just awesome and Carrie and Andrew clearly love cats! Our cat Steve stayed for just under a month and he could not have been in better hands!! Steve is a very anxious cat and had never been to a Cattery before but these amazing humans had him relaxed and at ease in no time! The units are lovely, clean and we'll looked after. I absolutely 100% recommend Riverside Cattery. I cannot thank them enough!!!!”

“Highly recommend - this is the best vet for your cat in Christchurch. Our rag doll cat, Gus has had some bladder issues recently, which has meant a few visits and follow up calls. Dr Ian has been extremely knowledgable, calm and always patient and understanding with our questions. All of the staff are welcoming and compassionate and clearly dedicated to the wellbeing of their patients. “For anyone looking for a special treat then I highly recommend going to a Long Table Lunch. The service and the ambience is exceptional and you can just feel the history oozing out from inside and outside of the lodge. Chef Jimmy is an absolute whiz in the kitchen and it was a true honour to sample several of his masterpieces. I'd also like to praise the exceptional efforts the lovely Lucy took to make me and my octogenarian mother feel at home. She was a true star and we really appreciated her assistance during our meal and garden tour. It was a gorgeous excursion and an experience we will warmly cherish forever. “Peter and Tessa are exceptional moteliers, they go out of their way to accommodate the needs of their guests. They were prompt and reliable with airport pick-ups and were also very obliging with dropping us off at a family event. The motel rooms were large, light and airy, and very well equipped. We appreciated the space of the one bedroom unit. The gardens are immaculate and very colourful. We’ll be back!”

“We took our furry baby in to this vet. He is a 56.5 kg massive Rottweiler, who doesn’t trust Veterans. He came with us from overseas and the procedure to be here in NZ was so hard and stressful for him. They treated him very well. They took care of him just like a normal friendly dog. They were not afraid of him and he got very professional treatment. We will be back because he has ears infection but now I am happy to work together with a professional doctors and nurses. I highly recommend this place if your pets not just a pet, but family members. The place is tidy and clean.”

“After a 9 hour flight and a night stay in Auckland, we were pleasantly surprised at our accommodations at Sumner Re Treat. We were greeted by Chris and she escorted us to our room. It was not only spotless, but very attractively decorated. Our accommodations came with all the necessary amenities, the decor was contemporary, and the location was excellent. There were numerous eateries within walking distance. Best of all, it was a short walk to the beach. I would definitely recommend Sumner Retreat if you plan on visiting Christchurch and want to get away from the City Centre.”
