“The food was lovely, we went specifically to hear the live music and have a few nibbles with our drinks. I am very critical when it comes to squid and what arrived on my plate was cooked to perfection. I loved the live music supplied by the Jinx Duo, the atmosphere they created was fun and good easy listening.”
“A great place to go to for lunch. Gd atmosphere, great food & prices. The service was excellent too and e never felt rushed to leave.”
“My first time here, this is probably now my favourite place to eat and drink, absolutely amazing! Honestly, we would order a taco, and in what seemed like the time it took them to walk to the kitchen and return, we had our food. And the flavour, was the perfect mix of texture, the right balance of ingredients, enough heat to know it was Mexican, but not overpowering. Do your self a favour, check this place out.”
“Great place and alot of fun. Our host Kaydence made it a very enjoyable experience. Will definitely come back again”
“Great Pub with a good beer selection and also a live venue reminiscent of 80s Berlin!”

“Really enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. Very attentive helpful staff. Enjoyed trying a couple of cocktails. Really enjoyed the drama of the stone grills. Great touch with the branded burger buns. Only slight improvement would be for the Jameson jeus as it had no flavour at all, but a super easy fix”
“What an awesome local, this was our second visit for a meal. We enjoyed our first visit last time we were in town and this visit was just as good. Great to see the quality experience wasn't a once off. Very friendly staff especially the mascot pup Oden. Service was fast friendly and no problem with my requests for a custom burger. Food was real, fresh and very enjoyable. Thanks guys we will be :-)”
“The restaurant itself is not that spectacular to dit in, but luckily the beach is just some meters away. Getting takeaway at eat at the beach is the best choice to make. We only gad to wait 20 minutes for two dishes, which were really tasty! The butter Naan was also good. This restaurant has a wide variety of non-vegetarian and vegetarian dishes which all have a good price.”
“We had a lovely breakfast, Emma service was fantastic she was very accommodating for us and our daughter. Makes a killer coffee and we loved the shrimp roll. Really lovely atmosphere. Would head there again.”

“We had a small memorial gathering here this week and the food was lovely and well priced. The staff were very accommodating. I would recommend this place and certainly will visit again.”

“Incredible medium cooked sirloin and gratin! Absolutely perfect! Served by Philippe who was very knowledgeable and provided a great wine recommendation to complement my meal. I overheard him talking with another table and he had excellent knowledge to share. The steak was easily the best I’ve ever had!”
“I was here for dinner last night, and I loved it so much I came back for lunch today. Nachos are superb, and the guacamole is outstanding. Great homemade chips. Lovely service and good prices. A winner! And a stunning view of the mountains from my table :)”
“Awesome country pub with a good menu”
“I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Styx & Stone. From start to finish, everything was impeccable. For my main course, I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana — and it was delightful. Perfectly cooked, tender chicken breast, coated in a crisp, golden crumb, smothered in rich, tangy tomato sauce, and topped with beautifully melted cheese. Every bite was pure comfort and flavor. For dessert, I couldn’t resist the affogato — and it did not disappoint. The balance of smooth, creamy vanilla ice cream and bold, aromatic espresso was heavenly. It’s the kind of simple yet luxurious treat that ends a meal on the perfect note. To accompany it all, I had an iced latte which was perfectly balanced: strong, smooth coffee with just the right touch of milk — refreshing and satisfying. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy yet modern. Highly recommend Styx & Stone for anyone looking for an effortlessly enjoyable dining experience. I’ll definitely be back!”
“What can I say, the best food I've had in ages. Flavours were just amazing. Service and people there are great. Highly recommend going here. We had the Chicken Ragout, Cheesey Garlic Pizza, and Lamb Meatballs. Delicious! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”
“Great pub for a meet-up with mates & friendly staff to boot. Stopped in for a "chinwag" & beer last week, happened to be 'happy hour' which was a bonus & helped the words flow. Comfortable warm venue centrally located in Lincoln”
“My friend and I visited this cocktail bar when we were in Christchurch a few weeks ago, and had a great time. We came here because I found this place online while we were planning and said I really wanted to go. It was hard to pick what to order because everything on the menu sounded fantastic. We're both fans of interesting signature drinks at cocktail bars, and this bar had heaps of them. I had the Merchant's Mark and my friend had the Shaitan's Favour and both drinks were fantastic. I'd recommend them both. Even though the place got a bit busy, the bartender was friendly and approachable without being invasive or intrusive. We sat right at the bar and really enjoyed watching the bartender at work, because it was clear he was extremely skilled at his job. We had a great chat with him about different spirits and liqueurs as well.”
“We dropped in for a feed but it was chocks and headed for a long wait. However, the drinks were great and the hospitality as expected in New Zealand. Thanks. We will pop back.!”
