   A friend took us there for dinner. While the staff were polite, the waiting time was unacceptable. We ordered at 6:30 pm and did not receive our food until 7:45 pm. When we asked the waiter to check with the kitchen, we were told there was no clear timeframe and it could take another 15–20 minutes or longer. Waiting 1.5 hours to serve food to five people is unreasonable, especially when the restaurant was not very busy. It appeared the kitchen was understaffed and unable to manage orders efficiently. When the food finally arrived, it was only lukewarm and looked as though it had been sitting for 10–15 minutes. While the food itself was acceptable, the overall experience was disappointing. If you want customers to return, this issue needs to be addressed. Not all customers are willing to wait 1.5 hours for their meal.

   We had a fantastic dining experience at The Good Home. The first time I visited was for a birthday dinner at the Birkenhead location, and I was thoroughly impressed with both the food and the service. My second visit, this time with work colleagues, was just as wonderful. The hospitality was excellent, and the food was delicious. I especially enjoyed the salmon, which was perfectly cooked. I would highly recommend dining here and look forward to returning to try more of their menu items.

   We came here for a family dinner function and had a great time overall. The food was tasty with generous portions—highlights were the pork belly (delicious and hearty, though the plate it was served on tipped a bit while cutting), the pork roast (also very tasty, though slightly heavy on the gravy), and the medium rare steak (good portion, decent quality). The staff were absolutely lovely—friendly, attentive, and provided great service throughout the night. The only downside was the volume. Between the music, a live rugby game, and the buzzing crowd, it got a bit overwhelming at times. A slightly quieter background vibe would’ve made the atmosphere more comfortable. Still, a good spot for a casual night out with great service and satisfying food!

   Cozy pub with a relaxed ambiance. They offer a variety of dietary options, including vegan and gluten-free choices. The staff was friendly and attentive. There’s both indoor and outdoor seating, and ample free parking. My only suggestions are to consider adding an acidic ingredient to some of the fattier menu items, and to improve the base of the vegetarian pizza.

   WOW incredibly cooked meats, really delectable and juicy. Super happy with my choice and glad the entire family enjoyed ourselves here. Definitely a "must come back"! The desserts - fantastico. We were seated in a sort of 'blind corner' so it was difficult to get attention of service staff, but when we did get their attention we were well looked after.

   I gave the food 5 stars but that is ONLY for mains and desserts... Unfortunately the starters are way over priced for what they are. Bread platter was a total of 6 thin peices for $15.50. But they made up for that with amazing service, we had Hannah and nothing was a problem and of course the mains where to absolutely die for. Melt in your month meat and creamy pasta.. We will be back, just no starters next time.

   I chose the braised Lamb shank and oh man I will say it was delicious and tender to the point the meat just falls off the bone with ease. I love a good mashed potato meal and this meal ticked all the boxes for me. Service was friendly and with care, really popular place with people just constantly entering. Love the atmosphere and vibe it holds. My first time going here was a great impression and definitely will be back again. Highly recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

   Was pretty busy for a Monday night. A homely feel to the restaurant well laid out. Loved the books & the posters on the wall. Chicken satay for entrée - chicken was moist and satay sauce was good. Fish & chips for main - chips were (i think) unsalted and a bit on the soggy side for my liking. Fish had good flavor but was a bit oily. I'd definitely go again in a few months time. I think there were just some teething issues going on the background (no judgment) given they had only been open for a few weeks.
