   One of the time tested steakhouse restaurants. They will always check if you are there for a celebration. A glass of bubbly is still served for the guest of honor. Food on all occasions have generally been very good and they will typically address any meal concerns. On this visit, it was our opinion the cray fish meat texture was lacking - powdery. Nice relaxed atmosphere with a decent selection of wines. Can cater to larger groups - long table arrangement. Alternate casual area available in the bar area. Nice desserts but not many choices.

   The steak was delicious, and the house Merlot was excellent. The kids’ burger and steak were also very tasty, with generous portions. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We’ll definitely be back for another dinner. Thank you!

   Incredible medium cooked sirloin and gratin! Absolutely perfect! Served by Philippe who was very knowledgeable and provided a great wine recommendation to complement my meal. I overheard him talking with another table and he had excellent knowledge to share. The steak was easily the best I’ve ever had!

   Beautifully cooked and delicious meals, well presented and fresh. Staff were attentive but not overly. Butcher’s Board was excellent choice with nearly 1kg of meat and 3 sides and 3 sauces paired. A very memorable night. Thx.

   The ambience of the restaurant is great. The restaurant is located inside the hotel. I like the design and set up. With regards to the food, we ordered the 300g striploin in medium rare and panfried akaroa salmon. A bit disappointed with the steak as it was dry even though it was medium rare. The side which is garlic and thyme gratin was amazing. The salmon was presented well but the sauce is a bit watery texture, not sure if it should be like that. The salmon was a bit bland. Good thing the sauce and salt baked celeriac helps with the taste. It’s our first time trying out Bloody Mary’s and maybe we can try it again next time but not in the near future.

   The beef and lamb are halal here. The steak are okay. The side dish is less okay. The sourdough bread is good though. The service is a bit slow, we have to wait for almost one hour for our meal.

   Best meal I ever had so far! Crazy how I've only tried this once, for sure not the last time though. Thoroughly enjoyed everything my friends and I had. Their steaks were so well done and so filling as well. The experience of being in Bloody Mary's were superb. Greatly and highly recommend! Will definitely be back!

   Great restaurant in central Christchurch. Wonderful meals, warm ambience, great service. What more could you want? There is a real country-lodge feel to “Bloody Mary’s”, with a familiar and cosy feel to it. The meals let the high quality ingredients do the talking, and my steak was cooked perfectly. Loved the lemon meringue pie, and the kingfish starter was fresh. Will definitely be back!

   This is our third time coming to Bloody Mary's and it does not disappoint. The menu changes throughout the year which keeps it interesting. The decor and atmosphere are refined but relaxed. The customer service is always friendly, we are always looked after. The price point is higher than average, but that hasn't stopped us coming back, it just limits our visits to special occasions. Would highly recommend trying the rhubarb and strawberry crumble with custard, although everything else on the menu is amazing too.
