   Really disappointed tonight we ordered a chicken korma and it was nearly pale white and tasted bland and floury, the chicken in it was allso grissly and chewy!! Girlfriend got the GF Naan and it was so dry you could hardly eat it. Onto the pakora's "vegetable battered in spice and fried " The potatoes slices were raw and crunchy and half the box was just dribbles of the batter mix. extremely disappointed. And hungry I will not ever be returning to this restaurant again !!

   We had a meal here a few years back and it was one of the best Indian restaurants we had tried. However, tonight was the complete opposite. Bad service on the phone when ordering, quite run down inside the restaurant, fabric on chairs hanging off the underside and not very clean looking. Very quiet for a Friday night only 2 people dining in opposed to completely packed last time we went. Someone sneezing in the kitchen while i was waiting for the order and to top it off a long hair discovered in one of the curries!! Very disappointing will not be eating Indian food for the foreseeable future.

   We moved to South New Brighton just over a year ago and wanting to use local got a takeaway from South of India. Have used them numerous times since and have eaten at the restaurant on 3 occasions with different friends who would all consider themselves curry aficionados. Every visit and takeaway has been of the same high quality and service. I consider South of India to serve a great curry always and would recommend that anyone who enjoys a good curry should give them a go.

   The restaurant itself is not that spectacular to dit in, but luckily the beach is just some meters away. Getting takeaway at eat at the beach is the best choice to make. We only gad to wait 20 minutes for two dishes, which were really tasty! The butter Naan was also good. This restaurant has a wide variety of non-vegetarian and vegetarian dishes which all have a good price.

   Ordered for delivery (isolating), after I had paid online,and order was confirmed, the delivery time was advised to be 70mins way. This was annoying but the order was processed and I knew the food was usually good. After 90mins I phoned the store and was told "he has just left" I live less than 10 mins away but "he" arrived 20 minutes later. The naan were burned, dry and cold. The papadoms were black around the edges and raw I the middle. The platter for 2 dish was stone cold. Flavors were still great, but timing of service needs work, almost 2 hours is not acceptable and the ability to see ETA before confirming order would have been helpful.

   Insanely busy but, they fitted me in, bless them. l now understand why as this is easily the best Indian food l've had for years. In fact, it's so good that l'm leaving a review before l've even finished eating as, l need a break before l go in for more of my Lamb Nawabi. (I think l got the name right) I chose it because l hadn't heard of it before and even though lamb is often a disappointing choice, it was outstanding and the lamb was actually tender. I ordered onion bajhis to start and they were so good l had to force myself to stop eating so as to leave room for my main. Definitely will be back.
