   The Piha Lookout is a must-stop on the way down to the beach. The drive up is winding and scenic, and once you reach the top, the view is simply incredible — when the weather allows it. On clear days you get a sweeping panorama of Piha Beach, Lion Rock, and the rugged west coast; on foggy days, the entire view can vanish under a sea mist, which has its own kind of moody beauty. There’s a small pull-over area where you can safely park and take photos, but space is limited, so a bit of patience might be needed if it’s busy. The spot is perfect for a quick break to soak in the coastal scenery before heading down to explore the beach itself. If you’re visiting Piha, this lookout is the first “wow moment” — a preview of the wild beauty that makes the west coast so special.

   This beach is beautiful and has stunning views. It's a black sand beach and the water is transparent as it looks in the photos. The parking might be difficult to find especially during the weekend. The place is a heaven for surfers and people who just want to have a nice picnic on the beach with the family. Overall, a nice get away and has no fee to enter.

   Not much to say. This was a stop on the tour we were doing and it's a great view. It's adjacent to the beach where they filmed parts of the HBO show "our flag means death" but it looks pretty similar. Our tour guide told us that the sand gets very hot and demonstrated why, as most of it is magnetic and absorbs the sun's rays so be careful how far away from the water you take if your shoes. The view is great and my wife dipped her feet in the water. There is an ice cream stand nearby and people who got ice cream there said it was really good and the waffle cones were amazing. Unfortunately my wife didn't want any but I wish I got some anyway ;p

   The view was awesome. Although we went there during rainy days but the place was still very relaxing. The road condition was fine but you need to be very careful especially for new drivers as the road has a lot of blind curves.

   Piha is really nice and luckily it was a beautiful day in Auckland, roads out to Piha would be windy and lots of bends , but its expected considering it's location, I would advise to take care when driving out, when you arrive to Piha there is a very tiny look out area where you can stop, it's usually full but if you see a spot it's great for photos, wegot there just before dusk
