To celebrate the New Year, I chose this restaurant on the last day of 2025, but the experience was extremely disappointing. The restaurant was very busy, and the pacing of the dishes was completely off, with the second dish arriving only after we had almost finished the first, and the final dish taking nearly an hour to come out. However, that wasnβt even the main issue. The biggest problem was the food itself, it was genuinely not good, and the portion sizes were quite small. Iβve been to many Chinese restaurants in Auckland, but this is the first time Iβve felt compelled to leave a truly negative review. The fried fish in particular was unacceptable, as it had almost no flavor at all and was clearly not marinated before cooking, resulting in a strong fishy smell. This was a very disappointing way to start the New Year, and unfortunately, I donβt think Iβll be returning.

We ordered the popular choices for this restaurant. Delicious and enough to fill my stomach. I like this restaurant and will come back next time. Forget to take a photo.

Very popular spot β you definitely need to book ahead. Dishes are good proportion and flavours are solid overall. We ordered the black pepper pork, but it took around 15- 20 minutes to come out, so just be prepared for a bit of a wait during busy times.

Came in for lunch only person dining in. Ordered Braised Pork on Rice $19 for lunch. Portion size is generous and the taste is delicious! This dish is well made with slices of potatoe and some preserved veges that add a crunch. The pork belly it self is well braised. The meat is tender and the fat melts in your mouth. Inside decor is nice can see myself bringing family I here for dinner. Great find wasn't expecting a braised pork on rice this good!!!

Really delicious and authentic northern Chinese food (εζΉθ)Thoroughly enjoyed every dish we ordered. My personal favourite was the eggplant (ι’¨ε³θε) - crispy on the outside, soft on the inside with a special sauce which has a combination of spicy, salty, sweet and a hint of sourness. My second favourite is the deep fried pork (ιε θ) which also has a tasty sauce with it. The restaurant environment is clean and tidy with a modern look. The staff were friendly and attentive.

Now under new management. Don't come here anymore, new owners have kindof retained the recipes, but now skimping badly on ingredients, and portions are literally half what they were a couple of months back. Such a difference it feels kindof insulting tbh. Never again.

My friend booked this place for us for dinner and I was really impressed. It was quite refreshing to try something different and all the dishes were delicious. Really loved the eggplant and soup dishes and I'd certainly order them again! Good service and location.

Lovely clean restaurant and welcoming staff. Would have got 5 stars if all the food came out at the same time and if the staff offered a choice of the type of tea we'd like. I can understand why the food came when it did as there were a lot of people already in the restaurant. Definitely worth the wait as the food was hot and delicious and definitely worth the drive from the cbd. We had the green onion pancake, spicy pork dumplings, combination fried rice, black tea and spicy pork stir fry. The chopped up chilli and sauce in the dumplings and the spicy pork stir fry was delicious! Fried rice was too oily for our liking. This was a nice find especially as it wasn't our first choice (Maya BBQ next door was fully booked). The ambience was nice with lots of nice seating and tables. Lots of tv screens to watch and they were playing China The Voice. Next time I go I'd like to try the mango drink. Thanks @cuisineart!

Casual dining place but with a grand menu, you can also get milk tea here as well. The place seems quite well kept and the waitress was very kind and attentive. Delicious dishes, with plenty of tasty side dishes, great with a beer, which they have a selection of local Chinese beers that I haven't seen in any liquor store. Plenty of seating inside. Car parking might be hard to get on Dominion road, but there is side streets you can use.

The place is clean and the staff is very friendly. However the food are typical northern chinese food which means could be a little too salty, and sweet sour ribs are a little too sweet...
