I’ve been to Wildfire before when it was in the CBD, but yesterday we checked out the new spot for the first time and it was just as good. The food is still amazing and the service isn’t far behind. Olive looked after us and she was honestly awesome. All the staff were super friendly, and the BBQ is seriously delicious. It really feels like being in a churrascaria back in Brazil. Will definitely be back for more!

We recently visited Wild Fire at its new West Harbour location, and overall, it was a very pleasant surprise. The restaurant has only been open here for about two months, taking over what I believe was the old yacht club building. The setting is genuinely lovely—looking out over the harbour with views toward Auckland City, it creates a relaxed and scenic atmosphere that adds a lot to the experience. Many locals will remember Wild Fire from its original City Centre location. Years ago, it was excellent, but over time the service and food quality declined noticeably until it eventually closed. Because of that history, we weren’t quite sure what to expect from the new venue. Happily, this new West Harbour version feels like a return to form. The menu is extensive, offering a range of choices including vegetarian options, larger set meals with dessert, and even some premium meat selections. Our group was quite large—about 15 people—and despite that, the service was excellent: attentive, well-coordinated, and genuinely friendly. The food quality was very good, reminiscent of Wild Fire in its prime. The meats were well-prepared, flavourful, and served with options like chips. We enjoyed a very nice entrée, and although we didn’t choose the full menu with dessert included, there were some lovely desserts available for purchase afterward. Overall, we left pleasantly surprised by how good the experience was. It’s a scenic location with much-improved service and food quality compared to the final years of the old City Centre restaurant. A special shout out to the young lady who served us,unfortunately I can’t remember your name, but you went out of your way to help out, especially as some of our guest we late arriving. Great Service. Highly recommended—with the note that booking is essential.

We came here around 9 years ago and remembering how good it was we brought some friends and it did not disappoint. Our waitress Olive was fabulous, attentive and knowledgeable. The food was all divine. The staff are welcoming and friendly and celebrate you eating all you can. It's easy to get to from the city by catching a ferry as it takes you almost right to the door. This is an experience restaurant that is worth every dollar.

Just made a booking for Christmas 2025. Wildfire has moved from Prince Wharf, CBD, to Hobsonville. It's looking really nice, so very much looking forward to the special Christmas lunch. I'll provide an update then...

On the spur of the moment my husband and I decided to go for dinner at the newly opened Wildfire restaurant at the Hobsonville Marina. We’ve long waited for another restaurant to open in this area and after their opening night last week we thought we’d go check it out! The renovations inside created a lovely atmosphere with beautifully styled booth seating from where you can watch the chefs work their magic in the kitchen. They also have Harbour view seating with regular tables and chairs. We opted to try their Churrasco Special for $54.95 per person, which includes 6 types of meats and accompaniments. The beef rump was just perfect, with the optimum pink/red color and perfect juiciness! Their polenta fries and other accompaniments added delicious texture and flavours to the experience, with their chicken, sirloin and lamb also forming a delectable part of the experience. The owner was friendly and involved, greeting guests and chatting with the patrons, the waiting staff were attentive and gracious and all in all it was more than just a meal, but a whole experience. I would highly recommend supporting this newly opened establishment and enjoying their view of the harbour along with their top notch foods!

Visited with my husband for our anniversary dinner. Food and service was amazing. Favourite foods were roast potato fries and chicken it was so basic but solo good! Other meats were ok. The sauces were not to our liking.

A traditional Brazilian barbecue serving you meats, sausages, fresh seafood and a variety of side dishes. We had the Churrasco Premium which has more seafood than the others. The meats came out steadily and the sides were plentiful. Dessert was delicious too. The red/green wood is meant to indicate to the waiters if you still want more meat.

We love wildfire. If you love meat this is the place to go. It is like a buffet but you just sit and relax and the staff come around to you with all the different types meats and they cut it and place it on your plate. You can even ask for as many as you want. I love the chicken it is my favourite. It is well seasoned and full of flavour. Weve been here many times and we always leave feeling happy as their customer service is always great and their food is filling and yummy. Delicious! However parking is the only downside as you have to pay.

First time coming here after hearing about this place for a long time. We had the lunch special which includes salad and potato and whatever meat that comes from their kitchen. There was quite a decent amount to select from. Beef rump, lamb, pork scotch, chicken thigh, pork sausage, beef sirloin, mussels. My favourite is definitely the lamb and also the sirloin. Good amount of flavour and caramelisation on the outside, nice fattiness on the meat too. My least favourite are their pork selection, which I feel a bit tough to chew and flavour was not as good. The sides that came is quite ok and a good choice to change the flavour as the meat are very strong in flavour. The service at this place was very good, we had an older guy serving us and he was quite attentive and nice. He also explained everything including the sauce. One thing I leave to the end to mention is that the toilet was not so clean and smelly. There was no soap as well in the men's bathroom so I think this needs to be worked on. Otherwise overall this place is worth to try at least you can eat a lot of meat.
