Dined in on 22 October 2025 As someone from the hospitality industry, I tend to notice the small details. During my visit, I felt that a few staff members were a bit less engaging and could have been more welcoming with smiles. That said, I completely understand—long shifts and busy days can affect anyone. I have no complaints regarding service overall. Now, coming to the food—absolutely outstanding. I genuinely loved everything about the buffet. This was the first time since leaving India that I truly felt I was eating authentic, typical Indian food. Every dish had the right flavours, aroma, and taste I had been searching for for a long time, and Paradise finally delivered that experience. The food alone made the visit memorable and worth it. For anyone missing real Indian flavours in Auckland, this place is a must-visit.

I went to paradise buffet previously 5 years ago. It was delicious and fresh everything tasted good and the naans were made on front of you straight away. Went for buffet dinner a few nights ago and it was very disappointing. This restaurant is not the same good like it used to be. To start with the staff were very unwelcoming and not friendly. My partner didn’t want to eat anything as we were attending a friends dinner and he was just there for company. They made him pay 25$ and he didn’t eat a single thing at all. The food was not great. The naans were rock hard, the chicken lollipops were dry and cold, the fries were solid hard and cold and the salads looked like they’d been sitting out all day. The tables were dirty and unorganised and the supposedly clean cutlery and plates had food and stains on them. I didn’t want to use the bathroom because it was filthy with water everywhere. Won’t be going again. Not worth it

The lollipop chicken was incredibly delicious — super crispy and full of flavor. The spicy dipping sauce that came with it was also great. It was my first time trying their naan, and it paired perfectly with the curry. The curry would be even better with a bit more spice, but overall it was still very tasty. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. Highly recommend giving this place a try. I’ll definitely be back to try more dishes!

Five star food. Five star service. One of the best halal restaurants in Auckland

Food was great as always. Didn't wait to be seated despite appearing at 7pm without a reservation, as it wasn't packed with customers. Food arrived after more than 40mins of wait. Not surprisingly as we were there during peak hour, it would have just been better if they inform customers before hand. Being in the business for a long time now, we expected better service. The restaurant atmosphere could be better. It was a bit smelly and feels dirty. We were seated near the toilet/storage area.

The quality has certainly dropped to a great level. The chicken lollipops were a bit smelly and the biryani was dry like hell, there was no masala at all just rice and dry mutton pieces. We waited for almost 25 minutes which I don’t complain but it wasn’t worth it. Paradise has lost a customer for lifetime.

Despite the extended waiting times, the patience was truly worth it for the delightful experience we had with the chicken tikka gravy and garlic naan. The flavors of the dish were rich and authentic, and the tenderness of the chicken was impressive. The garlic naan was perfectly cooked, with a satisfying blend of softness and crispness. While the wait might have been lengthy, the delicious meal definitely made up for it, leaving us craving for more despite the initial delay.

We were 20 of us for a work dinner, the staff went out of their way to accomidate all of us. We were from 8 different countries and cultures but all of us enjoyed and relished every meal we had ordered. Planning to come back. Paradise is my favourite Indian restaurant for past 14 + years never disappointed.

Great taste. Spinach Curry had great flavour and the garlic naan was warm and oily in a good way. If you want your taste buds tested, do order extra hot as it's not even that hot. Would be better if they allowed you to pay last rather than pay first at counter, since their food is good quality restaurant food and pay-first is usually for cheap eats rather than pro restaurants. That is to say, the food is too good to be pay-first!
