“The chicken lollipops were fried to perfection and seasoned very well. They give you a few dipping sauces that bring even more flavor to the plate. Lamby madras was very flavorful and you can ask for the spice level to be to your liking. Nice and clean inside but small oven so if you’re ordering a lot of food or if it’s very busy you’ll be keen to have a beer while you wait.”

“Highly recommended. Any new Indian restaurant I go to, I always ask for a hot butter chicken. This is how I benchmark. Sangram came in with one of the best butter chickens I have had in a long time! I always order a Peshwari Naan as well. Even though the Peshwari Naan was not on the menu, they made one for me! Impressed. The butter chicken and the naan were the highlight. What they can improve on….the mixed platter. It was a mixed review. The chicken tikka very tasty, samosa was ok and lamb was good. The onion bhaji was rock hard. Overall a $13 dish not a $26 dish. Come to Sangram for the butter chicken and a peshwari naan! You won’t be disappointed!”

If you are struggling to choose from the menu you will not regret trying the street noodles with chicken, some of the best noodles I have had in Auckland. They are consistent with the flavours and have been identical each time I have tried them. I recommended them to my flatmates and they also loved the food. Highly recommend.”

I really enjoyed the theatrics of the mix platter starter too, it came out on a sizzling plate & tasted delish. The stand out dish for me was the chicken korma, the nutty cashew sauce was amazing! “Decided to have Indian lunch after watching a documentary about Indian cuisines. We have ordered here before and knew that their food was amazing. It was my first time to order lamb biryani, chicken rara and tandoori platter. Usually I order the one I'm most familiar with (which is butter chicken) but today I wasn't disappointed with my lunch. It was very flavorful and everything tastes authentic. There's only 2 of us in the house but we got leftovers for dinner and tomorrow's lunch. Let's all support Nz businesses at this tough covid times.”

“Mint Leaf is great value and good quality, they give you a larger curry than most places. Lamb Korma is my go to and consistently good. The lady sometimes comes off as a little rude on the phone but it's not her intention (maybe just limited English), they are nice people. For the price and quality, this place really is great value.”

“Great take away Indian food. A good amount of chicken in the dishes and more than enough sauce for just the one lot of rice. Butter chicken is my partners go to but I enjoy this one because it's not too sweet like some of the butter chickens from the malls. Naan is made fresh in the tandoori oven. The spicy dishes could be spicier but we'll definitely be back next time we're craving Indian. The guys there are super nice too.”

“went in today to grab some lunch with my parents, their food was absolutely delicious. We ordered dahi puri, potato vada, gujrati thali and pav bhaji. Every single dish we ordered was made with such care and the taste was impeccable, I would highly recommend getting the pav bhaji as it was definitely a highlight. Every dish arrived on our table within 10 minutes and it was all hot and straight from the kitchen. The atmosphere of the restaurant truly felt like home. The service provided by the staff was excellent. Will definitely be going again sometime soon !”
