“We would like to thank one of the doctors at this clinic Dr Ravi Naran for his incredible support and medical expertise demonstrated during an incident that took place at a recent football match. His quick thinking, calmness and obvious medical ability helped save a player who suffered a heart attack during the game. He provided leadership, direction and clear instruction to the group providing life saving first aid, and ultimately through his direct actions saved the life of our player. An amazing professional, and without his quick reactions the situation would have been completely different. Unfortunately due to distance we are unable to be patients at his clinic, but have no doubt he would be an amazing GP and someone who will undoubtedly be a great doctor for those in his district.”

Yes, New Zealand has a shortage of doctors problem, but all staff from reception to nurses, caregivers and doctors are professional and friendly and tend to help. After 8 hours in the emergency room, doctor diagnosed based on all test results, transferred to ADU, then hospital room. Had right treatment, and could go home after 36 hours in the hospital.
