Might not be appropriate to review the emergency services and hospital staff but I have to acknowledge the staff are all amazing and very caring and respectful of everyone who comes through. As a family experiencing an emergency that brought us in and then needing to admit a loved one into their care, we appreciated and were very thankful for the care and compassion with which we were all treated. Thank you everyone for your care and kindness

I was amazed with the friendly and cheerful staff. An elder gentleman asked if I needed assistance as soon as I entered then proceeded to guide me through the maze directly to the department of my appointment and ensured I was tended to and signed in. Quite blown away haven't experienced such niceness, care and thoughtful consideration in quite some time let alone in the health sector. Top notch it was an overall pleasant experience.

Couldn't breathe, went to Waitakere Hospital Emergency. Explained my situation, immediately sent to the emergency room, blood samples taken, and all wires put my body to monitoring my condition. Yes, New Zealand has a shortage of doctors problem, but all staff from reception to nurses, caregivers and doctors are professional and friendly and tend to help. After 8 hours in the emergency room, doctor diagnosed based on all test results, transferred to ADU, then hospital room. Had right treatment, and could go home after 36 hours in the hospital. Thank you for everyone work in Waitakere Hospital Emergency.

I came with very bad abdominal pain with sharp back ,ribs and lower stomach area pain. They did bloods test and urine but didn’t give any sort of indication or explanation. Seemed like a rush of communication and unexplained understanding. The docters couldn’t really say but seemed symptoms of infection but didn’t really say anything or prescription. I wish they gave some explaining but nothing happened. I called the department as they said I might get medication when docs came to see me before discharge.I was on the phone for a very long time . Over all experience was that the security was new wasn’t helpful while I was in high pain when husband went to ask for a wheelchair .I was in the ER for a long time if they didn’t find a cause. 1 nurse was nice others weren’t so helpful. Overall I didn’t get any reassurance of what happened otherwise I wouldn’t have went through this.

My 8 year old daughter might have broken her shoulder shes been sitting waiting to see anyone to help her. This could potentially be life threatening but there is merely no staff. First world problems in a first world country.... not. Keep up the great work new zealands failed health system.

5 hours waiting, people moaning in pain, half the vending machine is filled with coke cans: doesn't seem like a serious emergency clinic.
