“All the staff are very friendly and welcoming and take their jobs seriously. The place is clean, tidy and has a great atmosphere. I usually eat in the separate area upstairs which is a more quieter , away from the hustle and bustle. Also there is a great little spot for young children to play while you eat. Their french toast dish is presented beautifully and very satisfying as it comes with bacon as well. Our favourite is the potato hash, it's a very generously sized dish with varying textures and tasty complementary flavours. Their blueberry cheesecake is the perfect balance of real fruit, textures and richness and flavour. With amazing customer service to boot - This is a Onehunga Gem!”

“Fantastic café! Some of the friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered. We were visiting from out of town with our 6-month-old, and they made us feel incredibly welcome and accommodated. Although we only stopped in for a quick drink before heading to the airport, I tried some of their recommended food, and I wasn’t disappointed. The chicken bao were fresh, perfectly seasoned, and light—not heavy like some can be. The atmosphere is stylish, modern, with a bit of an industrial vibe, which is right up my alley. Full marks to the team—thank you! We’ll definitely be back.”

The “Eggs Benedict” is hands down one of the best we've had, perfectly poached eggs with just the right balance of richness and flavour. “It's been a while since I bought any food from this shop so again was happy with a few treats I grabbed. The taro and fish with coconut cream was fire, the fried pork buns were good and the panikekes were good too. Oh and the nice lady that served me gave me the fish treat for free - fa'afetai lava!”

“It's our first time, it was for a birthday party, live band was so awesome we enjoy and loved it alot, food was also delicious and fresh, totally recommended for small party, family functions or any occasions, it's our new venue to look at when we have our next celebrations. Customer service from one of the waiters and the Band, was so good, beautiful decor and settings.”

“I made an online order and unfortunately a few items were damaged in transit. I called Nisbets to arrange a replacement and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. A full replacement was organised and sent (courier pickup and all) within about 30 minutes. Absolutely outstanding service - I will continue to use these guys for any kitchen supplies I need!”

“Super impressed right from the assistant at the Merivale store. I went in browsing and she asked if she could help. I said no one seems to have navy sandals and she immediately asked if I had seen ones on the website and showed them to me. I pondered for a day as also saw they were in a powder blue colour. Anyway I ordered and my shoes arrived within a week. Very impressed and excited. Thanks for the great service.”

“The two indian brothers that run this place are very attentive and professional, and service is top-notch. I've been a few times and rate it as one of the best Indian cuisine (& Thai fusion mix) curry houses on the north shore. Food is outstanding, has a very tasty and subtle blend of spice and melt-in-your mouth meat and crisp veg, and is now our favorite place to relax and have a kingfisher on tap. There is also another place upstairs, above them thats always quite busy, which I don't rate at all. Right next to the sea, good for a walk off them superb and delicious calories afterward.”

I ordered the Tamil Nadu–style chicken curry with butter naan, and it was absolutely delicious — full of authentic flavor and perfectly cooked. But what truly made my visit special was the kindness and humility of the manager. When I was about to leave, it started raining heavily. Seeing that, he kindly offered to drop me wherever I needed to go. Even when I said I would wait outside, he came again and genuinely insisted on giving me a ride in his car. It’s rare to find such good food paired with such a good-hearted person. The manager’s care and hospitality made me feel truly valued as a guest. I highly recommend Spice Avenue to anyone looking not just for a great meal, but also a warm and memorable experience.”

“Crazy Sushi is my go to number 1 lunch spot! The sushi is so good, tasty and flavourful (my favourite is the tuna - but get in quick because they’re usually all gone by 12pm!) and Angela is the absolute best - her superstar customer service and smile never goes un-noticed. As a regular she always remembers my order, even down to the extra soy sauce packet which sets crazy sushi apart from the rest. Would definitely recommend crazy sushi!”
