   I recently dined at Mama sila buffet in otahuhu and was thoroughly impressed by both the food and the impeccable service. The menu showcased a variety of pacific island dishes, blending bold flavors and beautiful presentation. I can’t recommend Mama sila enough for a fantastic dining experience. I enjoyed every single bite of the food besides the raw fish. I’ve tasted the raw fish at many events they’ve catered at and always loved it. I was quite saddened that this time the raw fish wasn’t great, it wasn’t seasoned with enough salt or lemon maybe?…but overall food was immaculate. Considering the quality, the price is reasonable. Highly recommend!

   11 of us dined at Mama Sila restaurant in Otahuhu last night. I have to say the service was exceptional! We were welcomed by a lovely waiter who I found very helpful and approachable. This gave a promising first impression. The place is well set up with quality furniture. It was very busy throughout the night. There is a large floor with ample dining space. Upon being seated, we were immediately served with water and offered beverages which was nice. There is a nice bar which serves mainly fizzy drinks, but no alcohol or sugar free drinks. Now the food was the highlight. They had a buffet station, the cold salads served in large kava bowls which I found really creative and impressive. They had a large variety of food which you don’t often find in buffet restaurants these days. Every island dish you could think of. The dessert was divine! All in all i absolutely loved Mama Sila. A quality restaurant. It was a pleasant experience. My only critique is the dining floor could do with some paintings on the large walls that seemed bare or maybe Pasifika designs, that would give it the complete touch. Directly behind where we sat was a curtain but on the other side sounded like a busy kitchen or workers, at one point sounded like a chainsaw going which got a bit noisy, maybe a wall there could do. Definitely need more options for beverages, sugar free drinks and alcohol would be nice and payWave option would be helpful but they do have bank transfer options as well which was good. All in all I was very impressed.
