I recently brought my parents for the first time here, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The spacious dining area, complete with offerings like gelato, formaggio, salumi, and il pasticcino, sets the stage for an authentic Italian feast. The service, professional and like a well-oiled machine, only adds to the charm. We indulged in the Leek and Potato Soup, Capresina, Spaghetti Alle Vongole, Tiramisu, and Tiramisu Eclair. The Capresina was a standout, generously topped with premium Burrata and Parma Ham. The Spaghetti Alle Vongole was a revelation—fresh pasta, perfectly cooked clams, and a symphony of flavours that made it the best I’ve ever had. To top it off, their Tiramisu is flawless. The prices are more than fair for the quality and craftsmanship of the dishes. Practicalities? Plenty of parking and a grocery shop next door make it a win-win. My advice? Just go. You won’t regret it.”

“One of the best Indian Restaurant in west Auckland. You don’t find the authentic Indian taste everywhere in Auckland but Shahi is a must visit for all the food lovers. Amazing food with great service from the team . The owners are very welcoming. It’s my go to place every weekend . You must try the Palak Paneer/Veg Kofta /Veg Biryani and Momos they are very good . I am a vegetarian but my friends have tried lamb biryani and curry and they like it a lot.”

“Such a good experience. The dishes were fresh and full of flavour, and everything came out fast. The staff were super friendly and really on to it. The atmosphere was relaxed and felt genuinely welcoming. The food was so good I caught myself saying美味しいwithout even thinking. Easy five stars ありがとうございます。”

“They offer good shisha, delicious food, and drinks. They both have indoor and outdoor dining. The shisha is outdoors with heater and they provide blankets if you wish to have one. The place gets really busy no matter which day - that’s how good they are. The food I enjoy the most is their cheesy mayo fries. It’s crispy and the amount of cheese and mayo is not too overwhelming. I also enjoy their Iraqi tea. I never would have thought I’d enjoy a cardamom taste on my tea. It soothes my throat and warms me on winter nights. Their shisha is 50/50 and I guess it depends on who makes it. But it is definitely a place to catch up with friends over food and shisha. Especially when you’re stressed and just want to relax. The staff are very lovely. They try their best to be attentive to everyone, even when busy. They always greet us with a smile. The owner is such a lovely lady and will welcome you like a family. They do have a good selection of meals and desserts. They also have RTDs, beer, cocktails, mocktails, etc. Suitable for all group size. I highly recommend.”

The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, generous portions, and full of authentic Mexican flavours. We tried the tacos, nachos, burrito, and sides — everything was tasty and beautifully presented. What I really loved was how kids-friendly the place is. The staff were welcoming and patient, and the relaxed atmosphere made it easy to enjoy our meal while the little ones felt comfortable. “Nice little place ran by a very very friendly and polite couple. Had the tom yum soup with prawn. Price is quite cheap. Overheard the gentleman at the counter telling a customer not to rush to pick-up her takeaway order when she asked to collect during their closing time (8pm). He said they will wait for her (aww).”

“Hands down our favourite local takeaways. The quality of food is brilliant (burgers are my favourite) and the staff are lovely. They are really busy on Fridays at peak times (because it’s so good) but staff are always super friendly and helpful. We make sure to order around 5pm on a Friday for shorter wait times. We’d prefer to enjoy dinner from an owner-operator place like PL rather than a chain restaurant any day!”

“Been going here for about five years. The best suishi around bar non, their tuna & avocado roll, & salmon avocado rolls are the absolute best there is no comparison. They make incredible Udon too, when they're closed I'm always so disappointed with other sushi places. Try them, you wont regret it, seriously!”
