We had a truly memorable celebration yesterday at Pickles Mairangi Bay, and everything was absolutely outstanding. From the moment the event began, the team took care of every detail, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy the celebration with our family and friends. The food was phenomenal in every way. The starters were exceptional and set the tone for the entire buffet was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. The salad selection was impressive, with a wonderful variety that was fresh, colourful, and perfectly balanced. The curry selection was simply amazing, rich in flavour, well-cooked, and presented beautifully, offering something for everyone. Along with the delicious desserts, the entire buffet truly felt like a grand hotel experience. The overall setup, bar presentation, and atmosphere were excellent, complemented by great music that everyone enjoyed. Many of our guests commented on the quality and variety of the food, and we received nothing but compliments throughout the event. A special thank you to Chef Sri for her professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail. Hats off to the entire Pickles team for delivering such high standards and making our celebration unforgettable. I highly recommend Pickles Mairangi Bay for any special occasion with outstanding food, wonderful service, and beautiful memories.
Pickles used to be such a great place on the Shore and I hadnt been for years so was surprised to find the atmosphere quite changed. It was still reasonably busy but we waited maybe 20 mins for our coffee. Didn't actually eat this time so cant comment on the food. Parking is free and off the road right outside which was great. Its a good spot to get away from crowds.
We have been many times now when we take our mum out. My husband, brother and i. We eat different things and Pickles cater to all of us more so than any other we’ve been to. I love soup and the wonton soup is amazing everyone said wow when it arrived. The service is great and there are a lot of different seating options .The counter selection is also great and the cafe is very clean.
Me and my partner come every Saturday or Sunday morning and are met with exceptional customer service every week. The lovely lady always remembers our order and refers to it as the usual. Little details like this really make this experience amazing. The chef creates incredible food that we always enjoy. We are seriously treated amazing.
We called to order takeout at 11:20 and were told it would take 40 minutes to prepare the food. When we went to pick up the order at 12:00, we were told that they were very busy today and we would have to wait an additional 20-30 minutes. Since we needed to be back home by 1:00 for our baby to sleep, we asked about the progress at 12:15 and were shocked to hear that they hadn't even started preparing the food! We had ordered four dishes, and it's impossible for them to be ready in just 15 minutes. If they knew they were busy, why did they make us wait for 40 minutes initially? This was my first time ordering from this restaurant, and it will definitely be the last. We ended up canceling the order, and it was a complete waste of our time. 0/5.
Coffee great Egg perfect But bacon like cardboard Careful when asking for crispy should not be like cardboard
From the moment I walked towards the cafe, I was greeted. I've had coffee here before, and it was absolutely amazing, and I had to stop for another! Friendly and helpful staff! And obviously amazing coffee!
I chose this cafe because of its location close to the Owen Glenn swimming pool. I met some friends here and we had a lovely lunch in a warm and friendly environment. I would highly recommend this establishment. There is parking directly outside and the interior of the cafe is clean and tidy, including the toilets.
