“I've been visiting Gatau House Cafe recently and absolutely love it. Their coffee is consistently delicious, and the cakes are just amazing — fresh, flavorful, and a perfect match with a cup of coffee. As a student, I really appreciate the discount they offer, which makes it even more enjoyable. The service is superb, the staff are always friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The atmosphere in the cafe is wonderful too - calm, cozy, and relaxing, making it a perfect spot to study, catch up with friends, or just unwind. “Came on a very busy Sunday and were served pretty quick. Place was completely full of customers and yet our food was on our tables within 15 minutes. Opted for the Woolfy's Breakfast and the Bacon Eggs Benedict - both amazing with crispy bacon and perfectly poached eggs. Can see why this place is popular - would come back to try their cabinet food or other meals from their menu!”

“I've been there a few times a couple years ago until The Light Horse closed down. This used to be The Light Horse. Good location from my place. Food is still good. But How sad it is that they don't open on weekend. I hope they open on weekend. Will be back with friends.”

“This is a fantastic spot! I love the decor and the food. I ordered the rump steak, which was delicious. My partner enjoyed the vegetarian pasta, and my dad and mum both loved their dishes: the eye fillet melted in his mouth, and the crumbed chicken was delicious too. Service was excellent also. “I’ve had lunch a few times here recently (my apartment is a few hundred metres away). Both times the food has been good quality cafe-style fare, and prices are reasonable for the post-COVID environment. I like the place and food and expect to eat here two to three times a fortnight. Happy to recommend to locals, people visiting Central Park for business, and anyone else who doesn’t have small noisy offspring.”

“We flew in from Wellington. The place is so clean and the staff were busy keeping it that way regularly tidying and cleaning. So efficient. I had the Teriyaki Chicken panini toasted. It was absolutely delicious and fresh, and perfectly toasted. So yummy, the flavors were so good. My daughter had a breakfast Muffin, equally divine. We were served by Katlyn who made our Mochas. Best Mocha I have ever had. Done to perfection. Highly recommend.”

We are Muslims ladies, and the chef went to our table to double-check our dietary requirements and preferences. The whole night was wonderful. 100% recommended for celebration.”

“I had my 21st birthday party at Stonefields Public House and it was absolutely amazing! When I started planning months ago, the staff were so friendly and helpful when I came in to ask about hosting a 21st. The function space on the terrace was beautiful and could fit a large number of people. Their minimum spend for functions was so reasonable. I organised the catering and logistics over email, and they were so helpful and made the process of selecting food and drinks so easy. On the night they were so amazing, they helped us set up the space, the service was amazing, the food was delicious, and the drinks were amazing. We had our own bar in the space which was so cute. They were so accommodating with what we wanted. I made a playlist that they played over the speakers in the function space, and set up a photo slideshow to show on the TVs in the space as well. Honestly, I had the best 21st ever and they are the reason for it! 6 stars out of 5!!!”

“Me and my fiance always come here quite often because of how delicious and amusing their food is! Their service is quick, straight to the point and top notch, I must say that one of their staff by the name of Zahraa has been an amazing team member and has shown her speedy and outstanding mind service, she is really what this establishment is all about! As for the establishment itself, it is clean and tidy and has many decent friendly customers who do interact with each other without causing any scene or problems. Overall, thanks for the decent food, service and to Zahraa for making it even better! I do apologize for not adding the remainder of the food we had but you must try!!!”

“I've been a regular at this cafe for a while now, and it continues to impress. The staff are friendly, personable, and always professional. It's the kind of place where being a regular feels genuinely appreciated. The cabinet food is my usual go to, always fresh and tasty. I particularly enjoy the beef pide and toasted banana loaf, but the cooked menu holds up just as well. Coffee is consistently enjoyable, which is something I value. The atmosphere is a good balance of enough background conversation to feel lively, but not too noisy to chat or get work done. The interior is clean and attractive, highly recommended for both catching up with others or solo work over a coffee. Particular shout out to the front of house staff, as it can get quite busy here at peak times but they work together like a well oiled machine.”

Bald Eagle Diner has the best food known to Mission Bay! With their cheesy burgers filled with flavour and their crunchy onion rings. The prices are great! “This place has position, a great bar and restaurant with a locals / marina vibe. Clean and new, the menu has something for everyone. The mussels were incredible. Service is quick and attentive. Being a DB tied place, the usual selection of beer from there is on. Good wine list. If I was a local, this would be my local. It’s even got a sports screen pod which I guess is a good distraction for those that don’t want to converse. I love the bar stools at the bar too - an opportunity for this place to create a real locals vibe. Great stuff! Go here..”
