Long overdue review. Spent my 2024 new year here. Was a blast. Music is fine. Drinks are average price. But what i love here is the security. They treat you with respect unlike other pubs ive been too.
Really good bar, Great staff. A coyote ugly type of vibe, but with none of the table dancing. A tenner for a pizza and 20 bucks for massive jugs of beer, we'd park up there for the day. Only knock on the place is the owner and his rules, 10 of us had to leave because one of our mates (a 5"5 50ish kilo woman) had a small face tattoo. And upon checking out some other reviews, the owner seems to do this kind of thing a lot, kicking people out simply because he doesn't like the way they look

I practically lived there and knew the whole staff; they were always so friendly and genuinely attentive. The atmosphere was super fun, and honestly, I still miss those nights! It holds so many great memories. I've already earmarked a return trip whenever I'm back in New Zealand. Can't wait to visit again!"
Can’t leave a review on the food as we didn’t eat here. We were stuck in port in Auckland longer than expected and found this bar just by the ship. The long Happy Hour, 2pm - 7pm, was amazing. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable regarding the beer they sold. The atmosphere was loud but inviting. It was warm and very comfortable.

Literally the bar101 for non first years. It’s worth the price (free) and when it’s not plagued with creepy old men it’s not too bad. It would be better if they didn’t play the entire song from start to finish but beggars can’t be choosers (literally) and also why are you playing crazy frog we left that in like 2011
This place is great for it's happy hour. They ahve really cheap drinks. Location is good too as it's right at the water front in the cbd. Bathrooms are not always clean, it's super loud and service is not great... but you really go to this pleace because of the cheap drinks.
Reasonably priced pub which is open late most nights, has a fair selection of craft and standard beers. Om student nights it can be a bit noisy. Has a good smokers' covered area with heating. An ideal place to wait for the next Waiheke ferry; always come here us I have more than 20 minutes to wait. The staff are efficient and friendly and the bouncers courteous when present.
Great view of the harbor, happy hour is good value, and they also offer alcohol free options. Friendly, helpful staff.
