   Four of us popped in for a quick snack, but menu and pricing was so good we had meals - 3 filet steaks, 1 snapper which was 3 fillets, all meals came with fries and salad, plus 4 soft drinks total price less than $40 per head. The meals were quickly served, and generous in size.

   Came here with my wife for a lunch date with a first table reservation. The Landing is an old school bar with a gaming lounge. The ambience and decor are dated, but a historic experience for visitors to the Onehunga area. Staff are friendly and food was served quite quickly and not at all busy so nice and quiet. The food is average and offerings of surf and turf. We ordered the scallops, garlic bread, prawns, fettuccine carbonara and fish and chips. The scallops were nice but a bit cold and overcooked. The prawns tasty, cooked well in garlic and butter. The fish and chips cooked from frozen and chips under-seasoned and weren’t very crispy. Finally pasta was bland and sauce watery and tasted like it was zapped in the microwave and garlic bread was good. Glad we came as a first table reservation as only paid half price as the food overall was underwhelming so wouldn’t recommend.

   Food selection not that much but it’s all delicious and big portion. Their scallop wrap in bacon is a must try dish! Tried their weekly special seafood medley and they are really generous with the seafood as well. Overall very good experience, would definitely go again.

   Booked online for lunch on a Tuesday. Turned up to find the restaurant was actually closed until dinner on Tuesdays. Spoke to bar staff and this is apparently normal, they however do have the restaurant menu at the bar so you can still have lunch. Just not in the restaurant. I feel this should be made apparent on the website where bookings are taken as we almost didn't bother going in when we saw the restaurant was closed from the outside. Food was nice and generous portions and the lady behind the bar was very friendly.
