“I had the Big Kiwi breakfast for lunch, it was just delicious. The scrambled eggs was creamy, the tomato was charred cooked, bacon crispy, hash brown hot, soft inside and crispy outside, fried mushrooms an the sausage were tasty with bits of cheese in them, two slices of a type of bread and butter, washed down with english breakfast tea. Just thoroughly enjoyed it. My husband had just a pie and coke.”

My kids were busy, happy and safe in the playground while I relaxed in the café area, still able to keep an eye on them. “This place is awesome and you can’t cut it any other way. They were out of hot meat pies when we arrived but they did have a meat pie in their cold case that they could heat up so what’s the difference? It was tasty! The desserts were incredible and the sandwiches were lovely as well. They also had lots of different groceries so we picked up different snacks and beverages. They even had nag champa! We ate our sandwiches on a little table overlooking the beach. This place is a gem and it was open super early in spring around August-September.”

“Loved the place. Went here at night. Music gradually gets louder throughout the evening, inviting to dance. If that’s not your thing there’s also plenty of space to sit down and have drinks. Beer prices are great for Auckland, we paid $12 for a jug. Staff was friendly and the place itself relatively clean (-for a bar). Easy to reach from the city, worth a visit!”
