“Wonderful hotel in a perfect location. The rooms are extremely comfortable in the pool. Deck is very modern and beautiful. We had to catch a late flight and they were super accommodating and allowed us to stay at the hotel until 2:00 p.m. for no extra charge.”

“5 star review for the lovely young Pasifika woman (apologies I didn't catch her name but wanted to make sure she was identified) who assisted me on the 25th of June around approx 5/6pm with my dehumidifier. I brought in my dehumidifier (almost at 2 years old) due to electrical faults and concerns, wanting to check my warranty and if I could get some help. Initially I was assisted by an older lady who misunderstood my request thinking I was after a return/refund, after I had specifically asked for some help with my machine that had sparked when I plugged in & was wanting to know if it was still under warrant and/or if someone could help fix it. She then proceeded to tell me I needed a receipt even after I showed my online contact with Mitre 10 noting the staff could call the shipping store upon arrival to assist and get the receipt details as it was an online order, but she told me to ring the store myself. As I went outside to grab the machine from my car & brought it back in with my daughter, I hear the woman telling the young lady I was after a refund/return which was in fact untrue, I quickly corrected her and this is where the young lady came in and helped me out. As I purchased online there was no physical copy but she was super helpful as I showed her the email contact with Mitre 10 & online details i could provide, The young lady got the initial staff member to call up the shipping store and was just super helpful and sorted it out fast and efficient. Great customer service, attentive, listened to what I needed and I was able to get a replacement as I was still within my 2 year warranty. The difference in service was visible & I think shes a great example of perfect customer service. Thank you very much to this young lady- approachable, super helpful and super happy with the outcome.”

“I have stayed here over one month. Great place to stay no matter you choose bunk bed or twin room. Stuff is always helpful and kind to guests. Kitchen and bathroom are always clean and tidy. People who choose to live here are also polite and nice. Most of guests respect the quiet time. Definitely will come back if I need. If there are more female room would be better for me.”

You can also drop by to browse hardware in person or chat with the staff about your projects. They often have in-store sales too, which is a nice bonus.”

“I just got back from a stay at the James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor, and wow, what a great experience! My room on the 26th level offered amazing views of the city the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. When I checked in, In my room I was welcomed with a complimentary glass bottle and some delicious chocolates, which was such a nice surprise! The room itself was super spacious and spotlessly clean. The bed? Absolutely comfy! I had some of the best sleep I've had in a while, thanks to the cozy bedding. Let’s talk breakfast! The buffet was fantastic. There was so much to choose from, but I have to give a shoutout to the chef for frying my eggs just right and whipping up an omelette that was simply delicious. It really set the tone for a great day. The staff here were friendly and helpful, always there when I needed something. Plus, the hotel is in a prime location, making it easy to explore the area. Overall, my stay at the James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor was fantastic. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfy and enjoyable place to stay in the city.”

“I spoke with a lady named Lara , who had patience and took her time explaining to me what I didn't understand until i understood , she involved abit of humor to make the call more easy going, which I appreciated and was just lovely to work with over the phone with her. She helped me get what I was looking for and made all the benefits of AA aware to me which makes me want to stay with AA. “Hotel has a small entrance foyer with stairs and a ramp for entry. The entry from the ramp should have an automatic door opening as handling luggage while trying to open the door was difficult. The door opens to the street. Once inside the staff were great. There is no valet service at this hotel Room was very clean and tidy. The bed was a bit small probably a queen size but comfortable.. Bathroom was huge and sparkling. Entertainment ie TV was limited to TV channels only ie no streaming service available. No casting from your phone for streaming.”

“Had a very positive and easy experience at my visa medical appointment today, the staff were very friendly and organised and the doctor was so kind and made me feel completely at ease. I was seen promptly and also had a great experience going across the road to get my x-ray- so convenient and great not to have to organise it separately! I went to these guys a couple of years ago for a different visa application (also a great experience) and am so glad I remembered and came back this time!”

“Visited for an ultrasound of my foot and was a bit nervous, but I had a totally fine experience! Everyone I saw was helpful and they seem to offer the lowest ACC surcharge in the city (it varies depending on where you go) so I’d happily visit again if needed.”
