“We had our wedding reception here and it was AMAZING! The functions manager, Chyanne has been amazing during the early planning, to figuring out the last minute details. They been very accommodating for guests who had dietary/allergies, and the staff that night were fantastic for making sure our reception was amazing! Would recommend and will come again for outings ”

“Went to Lulu’s for the first time for our 5 year anniversary and it was nothing short of phenomenal! The drinks were fantastic and the food was presented amazingly , absolutely delish and full of many different flavours that all paired together so well. Safe to say we will absolutely be back! Fantastic value as well, we were surprised with our final bill and would recommend Lulu’s for a perfect date night or group get together!”

“Fantastic place for all day dim sum or yum cha or just a great meal. The restaurant is very large and though on the weekends bookings are advised, we went on a Tuesday night and it was quite empty. The food was delicious, the service great and the wine list of high quality. We had a great Riesling from Germany which paired perfectly with the meal. You must get the crispy skin pork. It is amazing. Also of note are the soup dumplings. Everything was of high quality and I love that they constantly fill up your tea without needing to ask. Highly recommended.”

The hotel's fantastic location made exploring the city a breeze. ​From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the beautiful atmosphere and the genuinely friendly, professional staff—especially Ray and Anthony, who were absolutely amazing. ​The food was just as impressive. The weekend high tea was an exceptional experience, with every tea and accompanying food item delicious and the service impeccable. ​Breakfast was a definite highlight. While the buffet was decent, the à la carte menu was sleek and memorable—I'm still dreaming about the egg benedict and the delicious mushroom dish. ​Dinner was just as stunning, thanks to a fantastic salmon dish and the breathtaking night waterfront view. As a seafood lover who usually avoids raw oysters, I was amazed by the one I stole from my friend—it was incredibly fresh, and the vinaigrette was a perfect touch. ​And the experience didn't stop there. The room was spacious and tidy, and I absolutely loved the bathtub. ​I was also pleasantly surprised by the value. Despite ordering a lot to try everything, I didn't find the prices horribly expensive. If you get the chance to visit Wellington, I highly recommend a stay at the QT to enjoy the amazing food, service, scenery, and the comfortable rooms.”

“Great little venue Booked a table for 5, which was a good idea as it packed out in no time. We were greeted and shown to our table, and our drinks order was taken quickly. Good selection of options and everyone found something they wanted. The food selection catered for everyone also, and after the tough decision of only choosing one thing, we all ordered. The food came out quickly, it was a good temperature, and with good portion sizes. The staff were all very nice and helpful, the venue location is well situated, and the atmosphere was fun. We all agreed we'd be back.”

“The food was great and the service was fast...prices were reasonable, we got 12 dishes and came to 240. I'd say that's cheap!!! The only down fall the seating was so crowded there were 13 of us on a round table we couldn't even fit. They need to sort their space out”

“A bonus that this restaurant is part of the hotel we’re staying in. Great atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable staff, absolutely delicious food. Steak and chips, cook exactly how we asked, accompanied by truffle butter. Chicken Tikka, with a trip of dips, accompanied by garlic naan, and rice. Not too spicy (perfect for those who don’t like spice) my favourite dip was the tzatziki style. Kids meals come with a drink and dessert. Mac and cheese, perfect size for for kids, my son enjoyed it but I through it was too cheesy. Ice cream sundae was very cute, 1 single scoop with marshmallows, sprinkles and wafers. “Lovely last minute dinner on a rainy night. Wonderfully looked after by the team (Riley?) Was particularly good, and made us feel welcomed. All three courses and the cocktail were yum”

“Ordered a Pad Thai (Chicken) to takeaway. Was ready earlier than advised and it was delicious. Compared to the competition, it’s as good if not better and the portion size is nearly double that of their competitor. Nice to see shrinkflation hasn’t spread to every business in NZ yet!”

“Anyone who asks for the best Peking duck in Wellington, this is where you come! They have the best chef from Beijing and you get so much meat! You can choose "one way", 2 ways (Peking duck with noodle stir fry) or 3 ways (duck bone soup) basically just use the rest of the duck and not wasting them. We got the 3 ways and the soup is nice and refreshing, noodles we could live without but it's fine. Bonus is their cold dish mung bean noodles is the best I've ever had and love their stir fried eggplant with mince stuffing.”

“My wife and I had their mee goreng last night. I had the combination meat, and she had seafood. W-O-W-! Without a doubt, the best mee goreng either of us have ever had. The portions were generous and I remember thinking when it came out; "great, I'll take the leftovers home for tomorrow's dinner", but it was so delicious, that I scoffed the lot! The bloke who served our table was really polite and attentive. Do yourself a favour, and get that mee!”

“Pop in there awhile ago with some family members for dinner, out of the five of us I was the only vegetarian, I was very happy with the selection of meals I had to choose from, my meal was very tasty and great, I know the rest of my family were very happy with their meals, The staff were great and friendly and were very helpful with any questions you may have when you are having trouble ordering, their prices are good you really get your money wroth here, they do sell liquor here but it’s also BYO but if I remember correctly it’s little charge for being your own, overall it was awesome night, it’s awesome to have such a great Restaurant in the heart of Newtown!! “This is the best Chinese restaurant we have ever been too. The waiter was lovely and helped us choose some foods that we were undecided about. Very good prices on the meals and just the food quality is amazing. We got the crab and prawns in a chilli sauce and it was some of the best seafood we’ve ever had. We ended up going twice on our 4 day trip because of how good it is”

“Great location, the were able to accommodate all 30 of us, and the space worked really well for 13 kids in our group! Everyone enjoyed the food, my wife and I went for the schnitzel which was a decent size, and came paired with really nice coleslaw salad an sauce. I had the chance my son's fried chicken which was delicious! there was a lot going on for a Sunday, as they had salsa dancing and the music was LOUD! we didn't mind, but some in our group made a comment as they couldn't hear each other. I'd say it's a great place with very nice atmosphere, and they have great food and fantastic service, will definitely come again.”

“The BEST chinese we have had in a very long time. Very authentic and yummy! Good size portions, amazing service from staff who were happy to chat and engage in conversation and a few laughs. Even went out of their way to make a special honey chicken dish which wasn't on the menu. Alcohol prices were also very good and not over priced. Had a beautiful dinner and who ABSOLUTELY recommend!!”

“Absolutely amazing! Emailed a couple of questions before coming and the replies were very quick and helpful. Service was amazing. The food, MY GOD THE FOOD, by far the best lamb dish I've had in wellington. Comes with these onions in a sauce that is just devine. 10/10 will be back again. An amazing experience especially for groups. Also as a note the salad at the start, idk what dressing is on it. But it's amazing !!!!”

“good range of food- cold salad to hot chinese and desserts. Very good service, very kind. Oyster is very large and fresh, they also have tabasco sauce to go with, limit 6 per adult. steam prawn is also very fresh, limit 12 per adult. Mussels has topped with capers. Cripspy pork was bery cripsy and my daughter loves noodle. Tiramisu dessert was so good for me. Kids loved ice cream station.”

“We went in on a quiet night. The food was great. We got the beef wellington and seafood chowder. Our server was kind and made sure to let us know about the dessert special they had that day. One of the best desserts I've had in a long time. Highly recommend.”

“Amazing! Only 5 tables, 3 for 2, so wonderfully intimate and friendly. The decor is authentically Italian and funky, and as if nothing has been touched for years (perfectly clean but not surgically sterile). And the pizza? Magnifico! And reasonably priced.”

“IG: 2Fish1Chip Order: Blue Cod, Warehou and a scoop of chips. Cost: $33.80 I thought two different fillets would be better for comparison and as a more solid baseline. Firstly, WTAF!?! The size of these fillets were ginormous!!! I had to put a can of coke next to them for scale! Both fillets were equally delicious and cooked to peak performance. The Warehou was fresh and steaky as you would expect. Tasty and filling to the very end. The batter had perfect colouring and crunch. The Blue Cod had the same battered goodness, and flesh was flaky, soft and melted in your mouth. Classic Blue Cod vibes all the way to bank! The only minor piece on both fillets was the batter. The inside was a little underdone probably due to the dense mixture, but it was only a minor blip against the entire experience. The Crickle Cuts, we’re good as well. Nice crunch before reaching the pillowy centre. The portion was twice that of an average serving. ✅ Portion ✅ Cost ✅ Taste - With an asterisk for the batter Definitely value for money from these guys. Not sure if it was a one off, but I’d be keen to go back and do check in come summer. Xiexie”

“After first reading some of the reviews I was a bit hesitant dining here. Well it was worth giving it a try. The service was excellent and the food delicious. We had the crispy wontons, garlic pepper chicken stir fry, coconut rice, and chicken satay. For me and my friend the portion size was perfect that I ate all of it which is surprising as most of the time cannot get through it all. We plan to go back before sadly leaving the area and do hope we receive the same service as our first time.”

“Our two families are across from Australia for Mum & Dads’ 60th Wedding Anniversary in Kapiti Village! We decided to eat in and so ordered 9 takeaway dishes from Canton Inn Takeaways & Restaurant - boy what an awesome meal. Great service as we preordered in the afternoon and it was all there packed and waiting for us on time! Each dish was absolutely delicious - great customer service and big friendly smiles.
