I visited this hot pot and karaoke restaurant based on a friend’s recommendation. To be fair, the hot pot ingredients were plentiful and fresh, and the pricing was reasonable for an all-you-can-eat setup. However, the overall dining experience left much to be desired. Firstly, hygiene needs improvement β€” the table felt greasy, and the burner appeared unclean, which affected the comfort of our meal. Secondly, the service could be more professional. Staff members seemed indifferent and somewhat unapproachable, lacking warmth in their interactions. Most notably, I would like to gently suggest that the male staff member we interacted with β€” possibly the owner β€” pay more attention to personal hygiene. His noticeable bad breath made communication quite uncomfortable. In a service-oriented business, these details really matter. That said, if these issues can be addressed, this place still has great potential and could be well worth recommending. We had to leave early this time and unfortunately didn’t get to try the karaoke, but I’m genuinely looking forward to coming back for that experience.

Came here for my birthday last night with 20 or so of us and the team handled it amazingly, food was delicious and very prompt and they were very accomodating to allergies which we appreciated immensely. Thanks so much guys

I have been following Redhill for a long time, and finally came to eat in the restaurant today! The service in this restaurant is super good and patient! The environment is very quiet, you can eat delicious hot pot and dishes by the window while enjoying the comfortable breeze and watching the street view. The hot pot base is delicious, you can add more if it is not spicy enough, and the dishes are fresh and rich, with everything you need. It is a very good restaurant, I will come again! Next time I will come to eat stir-fried dishes and noodles! I will come again for hot pot!

The best Chongqing-style grilled fish in Wellington! The fish was perfectly cooked β€” tender and flavorful β€” with a deliciously spicy and numbing sauce. The portions were generous, and the ingredients tasted really fresh. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy. If you love bold, authentic Chinese flavors, this place is a must-try!

The hot pot experience is so awesome, I find myself craving it. I love that I get to pick the ingredients from the menu to create my own dish, and the experience of cooking the hot pot really adds to the vibe. It's definitely a child friendly restaurant, and there's often large family groups enjoying the food. It can get pretty loud in there, so if you have sensory issues, I would suggest picking a quieter time to visit. The overall vibe is very casual and unpretentious, though, and it's definitely worth the experience to go at least once.

APPALLING behaviour.....never ever have experienced this level of customer service . rude and unapologetic owner. Does not admit his mistake of serving us a Sichuan chicken dish full of dried chillies and hardly any chicken ..nothing but filled with dried chillies. When we told him and his other rude and unhelpful staff...this young staff member started ignoring us and would not come back to the table to even refill our water on the table. Owner is very rude and threatened us combined with his very poor and unfriendly attitude. Felt verbally harassed . When gave him the feedback about the horrible dish he served us..he started saying racist comments that where we were from and have we eaten Chinese food before....????? And this is how they serve Chinese dishes....the owner did not want to do anything to handle the situation and said he "doesn't care". Really horrible and shocking behavior from the owner. Very poor attitude from a businessman dealing with customers providing the worst customer service. Unfriendly waiting staff - they were ignorant and very unprofessional. Owner is the worst must not be in a customer service role and environment. Such poor and irresponsible behavior and attitude shown by the owner and would not apologize or rectify the situation - when feedback given by us a customer. The owner’s poor attitude needs to change and he needs to start listening to customer feedback and respond effectively to customer complaints and handle the situations and complaints in a way better manner.

Who knew you could karaoke and eat Chinese at once. Only negative is they don't like you dancing on the tables. A must do experience. Food is great too.

Good hotpot, mala was spicy and mushroom base was tasty. Sweet potato noodles are so good. However weekend night was insanely loud with rowdy people throwing things and slightly rude (drunk) diners. But overall food was great.
