   The BEST chinese we have had in a very long time. Very authentic and yummy! Good size portions, amazing service from staff who were happy to chat and engage in conversation and a few laughs. Even went out of their way to make a special honey chicken dish which wasn't on the menu. Alcohol prices were also very good and not over priced. Had a beautiful dinner and who ABSOLUTELY recommend!!

   Excellent Chinese restaurant! I wasn’t sure how good this place would be, but after ordering the beef ho fun, roast duck half, and sweet and sour pork (along with their soft and crispy wontons), I realised how nice this place is! And the service was fantastic, very attentive. I would recommend anyone come to Jasmin for BYO and chill vibes. Tucked away behind Lambton Quay and the James Cook hotel, it is a pleasant and surprising quality gem. I will return to try their other dishes.

   My husband and I ordered beef hofan and I got shrimp hofan. I must say that it was very delicious! The smoke flavor from the wok where they cooked the noodles from gave the Chinese hofan noodle cuisine an authentic flare. The servers were attentive, they made us seat comfortably and were friendly. I highly recommend this place.

   I always know that I am going to have a great meal at an excellent price when dining here. My wife and I have been coming here for over three decades and we have never been disappointed. We recently dined here before a game at the Stadium and while other places around town were packed, this hidden jewel was busy without being overrun and the service was very good. It is ever so slightly off the beaten track and that’s something else that is a positive with most people who eat here being repeat business. If you haven’t tried it yet, do yourself a favour and give it a go.

   This Chinese restaurant has been in the same location for over 25 years, and I simply love it. The decor is simple and basic, but the food is authentic and amazing. We love their regional Chinese specialities. They do offer their Anglicized Chinese versions, too. Generous portions. Definitely value for money. Drinks are reasonably priced. Unpretentious good food and my pick for Chinese in Wellington.
