   Organised a big group get together as I heard this place was taken over by some locals from wainui - where I’m from. When we walked in there was no greeting, no one to be seen. Both men were in the kitchen. We asked if our orders could be taken after half an hour, but were told we had to get up and order at the till. Then told we weren’t allowed to have a tab and had to pay as we went. We ordered and food came out, VERY average. As we went to leave one of the men stopped a guy in my group from leaving because there was an outstanding bill. The man was questioned but was very arrogant back. My mate then checked his bank and a payment had gone through for this ‘outstanding bill’ because we added it up. When confronted the man again was very argumentative and arrogant. Wasn’t very nice and it’s not professional. Surely could’ve gone through the till aswell but instead chose to argue. Would never come here or recommend

   New owners. Over charged. The meat in the burger is like the cheap bbq patties from pack n save. Very but service. I very big shame as it was great place before. No maintenance is being done to the place. Will never go back.

   Have been coming here off and on for about 2 years for work related business. Staff are delightful and enthusiastic..coffee is v average. I had a weak and bitter coffee here today. The interior is v v dated and cold and un inviting. It needs a complete revamp. I understand the economic conditions may have impacted this. Food is ok..plentiful and comes out quickly. Some of the cabinet food looks good and scones are mostly excellent. I wish them well.

   Absolutely no complains. Was pretty quiet when we went in. A wide selection menu to suit whatever you feel like on the day. Was a hard decision but no regrets. Food was spot on.

   I recently had lunch here with my sister and her daughter. Love this Cafe, Restaurant & Bar. The service was great, very friendly. The food was good. I ordered the Chunky Seafood Chowder with sweet peach tea. The chowder was piping hot, creamy, rich with a good amount of chunky seafood, however only downside, it could've done with a little bit more seasoning, the two piece of toast that came with it was great, not buttered but it would be nice if there was a little butter on the side so I have that option. The sweet tea, was amazing, fresh and not overly sweet. My niece ordered the ham and cheese toastie with chips. She ordered two. The Toasties were a little bit on the small side but overall she loved it. My sister ordered the beef nachos, it looked amazing even though she waited a for a while before it came out, we were almost done with our food when it was finally brought out. The nachos was served on a hot plate which was placed on a board. She was told to be careful as the plate was hot however when she got to eat the nachos it was lukewarm. The highlight would be the desserts. Both myself and my niece ordered the carrot cake and WOW just a delight on the pallet. The serving was very generous and loved every bite! My sister ordered the strawberry cheese cake. Her assessment, it was creamy, delightful and it just melted in your mouth with every bite! Overall I enjoyed the atmosphere, the service and food. Would recommend to anyone to go check it out.o
