1. Man of Steel ★★★☆☆

   In my honest experience, the pricing here feels extremely high for what is offered. Wellington doesn’t have a particularly strong Asian food scene, and it seems this restaurant may be taking advantage of that gap with its pricing. For comparison, the same quantity and quality of dishes in Auckland would typically be 23–30% cheaper. I visited with a friend and our bill came to $120 for two people, which was quite surprising. We enjoy yum cha regularly and have never been charged this much elsewhere—especially when the service and quality were nothing out of the ordinary. I noticed many positive reviews, but based on my visit, I can’t say I share the same sentiment.

   Got a sweet and sour pork to takeaway (among other things) last week and was shocked at the size and cost of it. $36 for a small bowl of pork and some veggies. Tried to contact the restaurant, but no luck hearing back from them. Wouldn't go back.

   The food was absolutely delicious! Everything we had was very tasty and fresh. Our dishes came out as they were cooked. The soup and crispy Tofu Bao buns delicious. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The dessert trolley is very attractive … so many yummy treats to choose from. Loved the tiramisu, steamed custard buns, coconut jelly and Durian Mochi. It's a large space compared to many in the area. But needs good deep cleaning looked a bit outdated. The red big lanterns have tons of dust which is a big put off.

   Fantastic place for all day dim sum or yum cha or just a great meal. The restaurant is very large and though on the weekends bookings are advised, we went on a Tuesday night and it was quite empty. The food was delicious, the service great and the wine list of high quality. We had a great Riesling from Germany which paired perfectly with the meal. You must get the crispy skin pork. It is amazing. Also of note are the soup dumplings. Everything was of high quality and I love that they constantly fill up your tea without needing to ask. Highly recommended.

   If you haven’t been to Dragons Restaurant I say why not? Go , run but book a table first as most know how great this place is! Best service , food and atmosphere! No trip to Welly would be complete with out a visit! Thanks again for another happy visit :)

   Mostly meat and fish dishes but has several lovely vegetarian dishes. The plum wine is excellent. Jasmine tea pot is regularly topped up only one charge. Some Lovely desserts to choose from. Dishes are good servings and ability to take home what was too much

   Usual Chinese Yum Cha place. Food was ok. I mean, the usual dim sum fare. Some were really good and some weren't that great. Worth a try if you like Yum Cha. It's really packed though so bookings recommended.

   Good food and service! Expensive food, the portion seems like has became smaller especially the pecking duck, plus no crackers. All our food were served all together, feels like there was a rush to get us out the door.
