Amazing! Only 5 tables, 3 for 2, so wonderfully intimate and friendly. The decor is authentically Italian and funky, and as if nothing has been touched for years (perfectly clean but not surgically sterile). And the pizza? Magnifico! And reasonably priced.
This was an amazing hidden gem! The gentleman who served us was one of a kind. He was up for a chat and even let us use the bathroom in the kitchen! The pizza was perfect. Balanced. Delicious and just so fresh and amazing. The service was kind. Considerate and so friendly. We could not have asked for a better ending to our night. Even offered to keep the place open later if we wanted to eat in instead of takeaway. Definitely one of the best pizzas we have end in our North Island journey ❤️

The decor, soft lighting, and old-world charm create a truly authentic Italian vibe. The food was outstanding. We ordered a pizza and a creamy mushroom pasta — both were cooked to perfection. The pizza had a crisp, thin crust with generous toppings, and the pasta was rich, flavorful, and comforting. Every bite was delicious! The service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. You can tell the staff genuinely care about your experience. Whether you're on a date or just enjoying good food with great company, Il Piccolo delivers on all fronts. We'll definitely be coming back!
This little Italian restaurant has stolen my heart! It's a truly charming spot - small and intimate, with a wonderfully cozy atmosphere. The staff are fantastic, too. My server was incredibly friendly and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. They boast what might be the best pizza I've ever had, and the beef lasagna is bursting with flavor. I left feeling happy and satisfied, and I already know I'll be back again soon.
I enjoyed my vegetariano pizza with thin and crisp slices. But the cosy atmosphere is really everything you need.
Most of the food was really good, cute little place (only seats about 18 people) but there’s NO alcohol to purchase and no byo either. Looks like they didn’t renew their liquor license when it expired a couple of years ago.
Best Spag bol I've ever had. Ended up here late one night and he was kind enough to keep the restaurant open for us. Go and support this Fella and his brilliant food!
Ordered a “Pollo” pizza.. was the only pizza open within walking distance. The photo makes it look bigger than it was - $22.00 for a small pizza with a scattering of “chicken” and a few mushrooms. I wanted to like this but recommend to choose elsewhere sorry.
Spinach lasagna has hit perfectly everytime I've had it delivered. Can't wait to come into the store and have a sit down meal.
