Hiring is most affordable and there's an option to cater your own. The staff are very helpful and made our night so much easier. A big thank you to Megan for looking after us. You are a rockstar!!”

“Since John took over, this pub has gone from strength to strength. He's added so many features (doggy biscuits and beers, kids play area, lots of board games, weekly food trucks, weekly quizzes) that have made it not only a family friendly, local pub, but also a destination. Offering some amazing beers, wonderful staff will take you into their care and ensure you can kick back and relax. Dog friendly, kid friendly, social team friendly, it really does offer do much! Thanks for everything team, we love you!”

“One of my favourite Lower Hutt beaches, a long sandy waterfront. There is a concrete path and low concrete wall between the free street side car parking off the roadway. There is a small short sand dune which is where birds nest and there are bunny tails and other plants growing along there.”

“Me and my family come by every so often. The food is always good and the staff are lovely. They've got a good range of drinks and desserts as well, although for the most part we stick to the dinner menu. Highly Recommend”

“The staff here are amazing, we were helped by Katherine. We are based in Auckland and were searching for an animal rocker to gift to family in wellington. These were not available online so we had to get in person. Knowing we were flying to wellington she held the rocker for a week and even sent us pictures of it via email to confirm it was the model we wanted. It was the only one left im the country. When we visited she still let us check we were happy to purchase and gave us a gift exchange reciept. Its the best customer service we had experienced over the phone and in person. Thanks”

“We came for the cheap prices but would return for the food and coffee! Wasn't expecting much but our Eggs Benedict's were very decent homely fare and the coffee was excellent! It's signage is hidden behind scaffolding at the moment so be sure to look for it even if you can't see the sign! They deserve the business :)”

“Moved to Ngaio a few months ago and have been in here a few times - HOW ABSOLUTELY LOVELY ARE THEY?! ALL OF THEM!!! A genuine, effortlessly friendly and welcoming vibe and I see them treat ALL their customers this way. They’ve taken the time to build relationships with their customers where they can have conversations about what they’ve been up to - it’s awesome! I believe interactions like this are the true definition of what community is and it’s such a rarity these days so we must call it out! celebrate it! “Absolutely flawless, perfect 5 stars! Despite arriving quite late, around 8 pm, I was greeted warmly by the staff, all with genuine smiles. The restaurant's atmosphere was cozy and spotlessly clean, with plenty of seating available. The menu was impressively extensive, and the staff graciously guided me through the options with clear explanations. Opting for (Hainanese) chicken rice, I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived promptly in just 5 minutes. The presentation was stunning, and the taste surpassed all expectations. The chicken was juicy and bursting with flavour, complemented perfectly by the fresh and crispy fried onions, freshest sliced cucumber and the subtly tangy soy-based sauce. The homemade chili sauce was also very authentic and a delightful touch. The accompanying chicken soup was also delicious and showcased the freshness and quality of the ingredients. At $22, the meal was not only delicious but also amazingly good value. Both the attentive waitstaff and the friendly chef made me feel incredibly welcome, leaving me eager to return. With so many enticing dishes left to try, I'm already looking forward to my next visit.”
