They have excellent vegan options even though these are not listed on the menu. Just ask them. I am plant-based and I eat here all the time. It is always delicious and the service is excellent. It is never cold inside. You can bring your family and friends and everyone will find something suitable to eat.
Great service, food, and location. We ordered the lamb vindaloo and prawn malabari. Both tasted very flavourful and authentic. Definitely worth the visit. We even used them catering and they were great deal with.

Absolutely loved our dinner at Curry Pot! The flavors were authentic, rich, and perfectly spiced. We ordered the butter chicken, lamb rogan josh, and garlic naan — every bite was heavenly. The staff was super friendly and attentive, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. It’s now our go-to Indian restaurant in town!
My fiancé and I always order curry from here. The staff are really lovely, and the curry is amazing. Even introduced our friends to Curry Pot and they go back every time now too. The staff know us by name, and are incredibly friendly everytime I come in to pick up, with friendly greeting and all. I don't eat rice and even then they were really accommodating in offering alternatives. Plenty of vegetarian options, meat varieties, the atmosphere is great. Easily one of the best curry places in Newtown, and possibly in Wellington, and that's saying something considering how many food places are in Wellington.
One of the best dosa ever place ever in New Zealand!! The dosa is one feet long should go and try if you are dosa lover like me ;)
Ate here on Good Friday when most other places were shut, and very glad we did. Really excellent food (and tons of choice), lovely attentive service, cozy decor, music at perfect volume - honestly one of the best Indian meals we've ever had. Prices very reasonable, too. Highly recommended.
Tried to walk past but it smelled incredible so I went in; best decision I've made in a long time. The food was incredible, the service impeccable, and I'm still getting taste flashbacks nearly 24 hours later. Fast, fantastic, and every bit a contender for best curry in Wellington. Highly recommended!
Taste: 5/5 Portions: medium Price: $-$$ The chicken saag wala was super tasty but apparently some of the pther dishes the table order were disappointing, so it might be dependent on the meal.
