“Me and my family had an excellent time on the Tussock Ridge Farm tour, Ward was a fantastic guide being both jovial, positive armed with a wealth of knowledge in the farm and interesting facts about the wind turbines how they were installed and operate. My kids had a fabulous time with his friendly dogs, got up close with a wind turbine, we got to feed the wild horses his farm adopted, visited the cheerful cabin with a one of a kind view with treats to the best blueberry muffins baked by his wife. My kids even got the butted by Bumpy the sheep which was hilarious. And as a finale fed the wild eels for the first time and learned many interesting facts about them It was also really insightful discussing with Ward on the challenges faced by the farming industry in NZ, political landscapes and how the farmers work together to overcome them. Heartfelt thanks to Ward for the fantastic tour of his farm and cabin, the size and scale of his farm really takes ones breath away. Truly a one of a kind tour, Highly recommended!”

“We had the absolute best tour of Wellington with Suzee! In reflecting on our day, it’s hard to believe how much we packed in, yet how unhurried and peaceful the day felt. Suzee poured a lot of time, thought and preparation (including an introductory/planning call well ahead of our trip!) into our day - so the result was well paced, tailored-to-our-interests and thorough tour. We saw everything we had hoped to see and more in this beautiful city - and had a delicious lunch, coffee and ice cream stop (local food that was tailored to gluten free and vegetarian requests) along the way. Suzee opted to bring us to places that were the locals-known-only version of the typical touristy highlights, so we felt like we saw an even better version of what most visitors get to see. Complete with historically significant sights, mountain look-outs, flora and fauna spotting, trendy/cultural highlights and more, Suzee’s tour covered every beautiful facet of Wellington. Suzee was honest, kind, knowledgeable, comfortable and genuinely welcoming to her hometown. AND she got us back well ahead of sail away time! Your choice to spend a day with her will be an absolute highlight of your trip and you’ll be very glad to have chosen a tour with her over any other group/tour-ship operator. We cannot recommend her highly enough!”

“We had an absolutely wonderful Lord of the Rings day tour with Kaewa Tours and can’t recommend it enough! From the very first moment, we felt completely at ease with Tom. He does an amazing job and has a great ability to adapt to his guests, making the whole experience feel very personal and relaxed. On our private tour, Tom showed us all the important Lord of the Rings filming locations in and around Wellington, sharing interesting background information and stories along the way. We felt comfortable throughout the entire drive, and all the conversations with Tom were genuinely fun and enjoyable. A particularly lovely touch was that Tom also took photos of us. When traveling as a couple, you often end up with less-than-ideal selfies, so it meant a lot to us to come home with beautiful photos where we are actually both in them. These pictures are now wonderful memories of an already perfect day. All in all, it was an unforgettable experience full of amazing locations, great vibes, and Middle-earth magic. We 200% recommend Tom and Kaewa Tours! When we come back next time, we will definitely book another tour with Tom, as Kaewa Tours offers so many fantastic experiences to choose from. Thank you, Tom!”

“This was an excellent weekend tour from Saturday morning (10am) until Sunday (5.30pm). The gardens and homes were all interesting and the home hosts were very welcoming. The driver was excellent, and we enjoyed the travel views on the way. Our travel broker Karen had the itinerary well organized with an excellent historian on board. We both thoroughly enjoyed the weekend.”

“I had an amazing tour with Richard the full day LOTR Wellington tour which includes Weta Workshop. Richard was knowledgeable, fun and really cared about giving a memorable experience to his group! Xplor tours keep the group sizes smaller, so you don't feel lost in a crowd and it's a great option for solo travellers! Absolutely, I would do a tour with them again when I'm back in Wellington in the future!”

“National museum of New Zealand that hold a big native collection, 3 floors with a lot of history, and for me, the most impressive is the war one, with it's people representing what they were doing in a big scale, that you can view the details of the figures. Worth to take a look and visit it! :)”

“A typically wet and cool day, the gardens are a stop I'll be back for. The museum and food well worth the stop. Keep an eye out for pickpockets, nearly broke the toes of a dude trying to steal my gopro. They operate in pairs/groups. Only place in my entire trip I ran into this.”

“What excellent service Dave and the team gave us when we did this cycle ride. We did the trail in 3 days and it is at times its not for the faint hearted. On the last day due to atrocious weather overnight Dave suggested using eBikes for the last and roughest part of the trail at no extra cost... They were a god send. A brilliant, brilliant trip with a truely remarkable company. I highly recommend them, all the equipment is top notch and they have a great deal of experience. The trail itself is amazing and well worth the effort. We saw wild pigs and piglets, goats and deer and about a million rabbits... but unfortunately didn't see the wild horses.”
