I really like their Matcha Latte! Soy Milk option for a cost. They also stock a few vegan treats.
I got my hopes up after reading the reviews. I won't be coming back. Service: Unlike the friendly service others mentioned, I felt unpleasant when they offered no explanation for an order mistake that was clearly their fault. Taste: The coffee was perfectly ordinary, the muffins nothing special, and not to my taste.
Cafe Cloud is a hidden gem near the Beehive! The seating area inside is super cute, with warm and welcoming decor. Great WiFi (just ask for the password), and the bathroom is clean, which is always a plus. I didnβt try the food, but the coffee is absolutely top-notchβdefinitely worth a stop for caffeine lovers!
Cheese scones (NZ$6) are everywhere in Wellington. While I didnβt have time to compare them on a two-night trip, I can tell you the one at Cafe Cloud was a beauty. Made on a combination of non-greasy cheeses, it was light and airy with good savoury bite. Located on the Victoria University edge of town, this busy little hole-in-the-wall has some seating in the rear where you can enjoy it gently grilled with a stick of Mainland mNZ salted butter. Coffee as a cinnamon-topped cappuccino (NZ$4) was an interesting twist. Not sure Iβd ask for it again, but I enjoyed trying the wares of our second closest neighbour.

Great food. Great coffee. Great service. Friendly staffs. But even if thereβs no queue, service is extremely slow.
Cheese Scone Review: A surprisingly moist little scone. Not a lot of exterior crunch, no herbs, and rather a heavy hand on the cayenne. A moderate cheese level. A popular Cafe at this end of town, but I don't think they are drawn to the Scones. A entry level good score of 62/100.
I love stopping into 86 on my way to work. The people there are always friendly, the bright, clean decor is upbeat, the coffee is reliably good every time, and the cheese scones are the best in the area! In the cabinet there are always a few GF and vegan options. There's often a queue between 8 and 9.30 so allow yourself 10 minutes.
